Chris and I went and met some people tonight for dinner from his work and I drank a Smirnoff. not a good idea on my part. oh well, live and learn. I didn't get a cluster but got hit with a big ol' migraine. Yuckiness. Well, I have definately learned my lesson. Never again. I have sworn off alcohol until forever.

Bummer...
I was just thinking yesterday that since the worst of my last episode was pretty much over (I'm back to my usual chronic hits) that maybe I could imbibe a little over the holidays. It's my favorite time of year to party a little. Today was a bad day. Dozens of k5 shadows and a k7 for about 30 mins this afternoon. I didn't even have to actually drink and it was still a trigger. :( I think I'll wait awhile... :-/

I learnt my lesson OK? You will all have to deal with a sober me in Dallas next year - heeheeheehee- I hope you ready for that. You can't say I didn't warn you!

Me too! It only takes one drink to get me bladdered... can't remeber if its the 8th or the 9th though...

I guess I'm one of the fortunate ones: When not in cycle, I can drink whatever I want. Matter of fact, I think tonight, I'll have me a nice glass of Lagavulin Scotch: 16-year old, single malt Isley scotch... Yummmmmmmmm....

Sorry to hear that it triggered a headache for you, CSChick. :'(

I was never was a big drinker, my other half does enough for both of us. But I do miss a drink sometimes. I am scared shitless about even drinking one. How would you know if your even kinda safe? Nani, I am like you (chronic) but you said you drink sometimes? Am I correct? I don't think I would try it on the holidays, don't want to wreck them for my family.Is it just a wait and see type of thing????? [smiley=huh.gif]

When I'm in my "regular" chronic phase (lots of shadows, a couple of medium hits a day) I can drink. When I'm in a cycle (much more severe hits) I can't touch any booze. I thought I was done with this most recent cycle, but I'm going to give it a while longer... :-/

I think Lagavulin is the best of the Islays but I'm rather fond of Bunnahabhain too

Ah... I haven't seen that one, but I was told, last time I bought a bottle of 'vulin, that it wasn't going to be available anymore because they've run out. Apparently, it really IS aged 16 years! Who knew?

Lagavulin is still going strong, I just bought a bottle for a friend a couple of weeks ago. This site will blow your mind, I go to the shop every time I go to Kent (about once a fortnight!) just for a browse.. If you come to Dallas next year I'll bring you a bottle :)
