Title: Drink Recipes - Share your Fav
Post by Rock_Lobster on Nov 13th, 2004, 4:58pm
My recent drink selection has become rather boring, so I am hunting down some new favs.  I will start...

Mafia's Kiss
1 part Southern Comfort
1 part ameretto (I prefer Disaronno)
1 or 2 parts Sour Mix (to taste... I prefer 1+, my wife prefers 2) (not to be confused with Sweet & Sour mix!!! (which I did the first time... yuk!))

A Black Russian, Vodka, Tia Maria or Kahlua and coke.. yummy!
Or 1/3 Amaretto and 2/3 Baileys.. no name that I know of but it'll blow your hat off!
Southern Comfort, Archers Peach Schnapps and lemonade (sprite or 7up)

I'm really missing all of the above but I just don't want to even try one yet  :( I can't face the risk!

Here is a punch recipe I make for Christmas:

a 16 oz can of pineapple chunks
a  15 oz can of mandarin oranges
2-3 small jars of maraschino cherries w/ juice
1 qt of pineapple juice
A pint of rum
A pint of brandy
Mix and pour into a container and let marinate for a couple of days.

Enjoy.

Very rarely do I drink hard liquor anymore, but if I'm feeling frisky I'll either have a few shots (pucker, yagermeister, tequila w/lime & salt , Keirshwasher(sp?) or schnapps), amaretto or cranberry sours, or I'll have some sort of slushy concoction.

Yes, putting ice in good scotch is a mortal sin. I have never, ever, ever put ice in scotch, er, ever.  Well maybe once (a night).  But as punishment to you for putting a small cube of ice in your scotch, you shall spend the next 4 months freezing your ass off in a Canadian winter.  Enjoy Phil. ;;D

Man... my shopping list for the liquor store visit today is now quite lengthy!   [smiley=thumb.gif]

Well, we went out with a load of friends last night.  Good band (70's motown.. .we were really shocked that a local band played such music, and played it so well!).
Designated driver.
Top-notch bar food (jalapeno poppers and spinach & artichoke dip with french bread toast for my vegetarian ass... hot wings and hotter wings for everyone else).
So we deemed it time to get sloshed.   [smiley=smartass.gif]

In the order I remember:
Miller Lite draft
2 Margaritas (rocks with salt!)
Tequila shots
2 Gin & Tonics (no idea why.  i hate gin.)
2 Scotch on the rocks (bottom shelf scotch, since I was not tasting much by that time)

Fun fun fun night.  Got home entirely too late.

You don't like gin and tonic?! *shock, hooror!!*
It's part of my staple diet. You should never let a day go by without having something from the four major food groups, chocolate, alcohol, caffeine and fat!
