Title: Re: Oxygen Question Post by Giovanni on Nov 11th, 2004, 9:45am Sounds about right to me. You can experiment on the liters per minute---usually ends up somewhere between 12-15. You do a non rebreather mask---the one with the bag underneath? John |

Title: Re: Oxygen Question Post by Ronny on Nov 11th, 2004, 9:59am Hi, My doc told me to use 8 liter, From what i've read here, 12-15 is better but it cant hurt to try at 8, bottle will last longer. Ronny. |

Title: Re: Oxygen Question Post by Gator on Nov 11th, 2004, 6:02pm Conventional wisdom says 8 - 10 lpm for 10 to 15 minutes. Actual experience here shows 12 - 15 lpm for 10 to 20 minutes through a non-rebreathing mask works best. A non-rebreathing mask is fairly worthless below 10 lpm. Most people will tell you if it doesn't work in 20 minutes, it's not going to work. Gator |
