but didn't realize it was going to be so soon. My baby brother Raymond (aka RayRay) just turned 18 in October and he's taking a bus back to New Hampshire tomorrow. I have been his second Mommy since he was little. My mom passed 4/01 and after a court battle, most of the time since then my huband and I have been his legal guardians, siblings, friends, enemies, and parents. These past few years have been trying to say the least but I'm sad to see him go. Part of me has been looking forward to this time so we can be our little family of four (two preschoolers) that we have barely ever been. But at the same time I feel so sad. We had my sister for awhile too but she has long since left us to live with others. My brother and I have always had a special bond that I have not had with my sisters. He doesn't have his head totallly screwed on tight and I worry about him alot. I don't have much for family other than my own little family and than Ray Ray. The time had to come eventually and I'm sure it will be good for my family and I but it's just such a bittersweet thing.

[smiley=hug.gif] I hate goodbyes. He will be back though and you will appreciate each other all the more for the time apart. Its bound to be strange at first but keep doing as you are and look for the positive!

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother leaving. I realize that this must be very tough for you (and him). I'm sure that you two will keep in close contact.

P.S. I have a friend here also named 'Ray Ray'. He is currently up for adoption since he is of little to no use to anyone here. I'd gladly ship him your direction if you think it would help. *** WARNING *** He is quite expensive to keep around as a 'house-guest' since he drinks approximately 60 beers per day. Let me know if you are interested. ;)

P.S. Grant having one Ray Ray in my life is plenty for me ;)
