My son has returned home!  Things will change and I just pray to God to give us the wisdom to deal with all this and to help him through his drug and alchol problems and about his financial problems.  He is looking forward to getting a job and going to night school.  Yeah!  I just want him to graduate!  Thanks for all your words of support and comfort.  Just pray for wisdom for us in being wise and good parents. Thanks again for being their for me.

That's good news Karla!  :) I pray everyone's sons come home. Praying that your son will be able to pull it all together and be succesful. Remember sweetie- your son is an adult now (even though he's a young one) and while you may be able to lend a hand, your job is essentially done. Good luck to all of you!

Wonderful news Karla!  Sooooo glad to hear it.  It's so awful not knowing what is going on with our loved ones esp when they are staying away.  You got my vibes and prayers for the strength and wisdom to get through this time in your life.

Karla,  I am very happy that your son has come home.  Hopefully, the issues that kept him away have sufficiently resolved themselves that he can and will want to stay home.  Things are still going to be difficult for a while.  I pray for strength, wisdom and patience for you and your son.  

Remember you can also lean on your family here when you feel your strength wane or your patience is stretched thin.

Great news. Take it a day at a time.  If he does join AA and/or NA, you might want to look into going to a few meetings yourself.  He might not want you al meetings that he is going to, but they do have open meetings that you can attend so that you can see what it is that they do and how they help.  It helped me tremediously when I was a counselor, so understand the steps and the language that is used.  

Remember, open mind and open heart.
