We are asking for nominations for the OUCH team. Elections are due.
Where is the interest???

Plenty of you have lots to say about how bad we are/have been doing. Here is your chance to do something about it other than just mouthing off!!

I KNOW there are a lot of people that believe in OUCH and its purpose. Where are you?

As one BoD member, and I am only talking for myself here, I am VERY disappointed in the lack of interest or support from the membership. What we want to do, and are working on doing is for YOU, the membership, the sufferer and the supporter.

There are a LOT of new bodies in the BoD and officers of OUCH. This is NOT the old crowd. I am not saying the old crowd was bad, or good. But don't judge us on the past. Let us get things going.

Our new president is dong an awesome job. But we need to fill all openings. We need a new VP, as our previous VP has moved up, as you know, to President. We need a new Treasurer. Elaine offered to take on the job, temporarily, but needs to hand it off to a permanant person. We need a new Recording secretary as Mel has other commitments right now that are going to prevent her from doing a good job, besides which, she has held an office for several years now. My position is up for election/re-election this year. You want me to continue, fine, re-elect me. You want someone else in there and get rid of me, fine, elect someone else.

JUST DO SOMETHING!!!!

Don't wait for someone to put your name up for nomination. If you are interested, put your name up.

I have not entered my name into the ring, as I wanted to get some others involved. I don't want everyone to just sit aside because I am going to go for re-election. Get some competition here! Then the membership can decide if they want new blood or my tired old butt back in office! But I will make it official, I am putting my name in for re-election.

Now how about some competition? Huh?

And how about the other postitions?

Let's see some support here!!!

Ronny, the membership is to nominate people for the open positions (of course, like Chuck said, nominating yourself is acceptable also). If the person agrees, then they'll be recognized as a nominee and give a platform statement (optional). Then after all nominations are received withing the 20 day time period, the WHOLE MEMBERSHIP votes in who they would like to see in those open positions.
