After some discussion with other members I think I will write a professional letter as the OUCH President informing the good doctor (PhD) of the error of his ways and maybe even convert him to an ally......hmmmm...it might help.

OHHHHHH, and clusters and migraines have the same cause. Hmmmm. Does that mean he can tell me what has caused mine?

But I will let Mark answer, he can do that in a much nicer, informative, gentle manner than me. There may be hope for the guy (ain't gonna hold my breath). :)

I sent a somewhat sarcastic (yeah, big surprise here) note and a few proper links to educate the good doctor. Frightening reality about the undereducated physician lurking in our midst and likely doling out improper diagnoses to folks that cannot afford it.

So, he has his PhD (piled higher and deeper!) but I don't see any real medical designations after his name. His degree is probably in basket weaving 101 but it sure isn't in CH.

People like him could do a lot of damage to the uninformed or those who believe Dr = God! Frightening!

he is a medical psychologist, psychology is the easiest phd to get and you almost have to have one to practice. They can't even prescribe medicine for psychology patients. He is trying to pretend he is a medical doctor. Maybe he thinks he will get more chicks that way. He is not even qualified to give an opinion on many of the topics he writes about. Loser

I truly believe part of our job as knowledgeable, educated people is to "flush out the frauds"!

I shudder to think about sufferers who might have accidentally ended up at his site and stopped their searches right there.

I e-mailed him to both addresses in my usual well thought out, thoroughly researched and documented manner - for the first three or four sentences anyways. LOL Then I let him have it. Here's just a piece of my e-mail:

Aguess this person has never experienced a CH attack! Lucky b*****d.

Luckily the doc I saw the other day for regular health check up knows that CH is not a same thing as migraines - and she knows that they are painful ones! ;;D
