I hate feeling like a freaking helpless woman, but I do.

Can anyone give me advice on who to call if I need to get an over the range microwave oven installed? I probably have to get an electric outlet put in above my cabinet, so I'm thinking electrician...would they install the machine too?

Best Buy has screwed me over for 4 weeks and I finally just made them reimburse me for the installation, but now I'm up the crick.

Many times there are local handy men that advertise in the local paper. BUT, make sure you check his/her references CLOSELY before you hire him/her.

Don't know the lay out of your kitchen, but I would guess you will need a carpenter to rebuild/modify the cabinets, and they should have or know of an electrician to run the wiring! Check with friends and neighbors for trustworthy craftsman. Not much help but all I can do.

Sears for a Kenmore microwave. They might have contractors they can recommend for the electric.

check with your local home depot and see if there is someone who will do an installation or give a recommendation of who is a reputable contractor.

Man needed to provide electricity for fast cooker. Need it hung, experienced installers only.

I would think that an electrician will be able to help you by either doing the work or suggesting others.

Look in the paper for a Handy Man who does electrical. If I still worked out of Crosby I'd come by and do it for you.

Any handyman can do it.
Possible problems ==
- the lack of decent studs behind the current range hood
- no outlet in one of the upper or side cabinets to plug into (alot of the rangehood micros have a plug by default)
- the need to chop a new hole in the upper cabinet to route the vent through (assumes the old hood and the new micro will not have exactly the same vent size/shape/location)
