Lovecraft wrote some scary stuff. The Dunwich horror was excellent if you like the style of Edgar Allen Poe or Stephen King.

The seasonal equinox cast clouds of the unknown from afar. A powerful lining, ever so thin, attempts to hold back the tenacious laughter from the Beast of doom. Slowly it seeps into the brisk air below, scattering wildly like spectrums of rays from the sun. Yet the vibes, like webs from a spider, diminish its’ power causing confusion from entrapment. The Beast angrily lowers its’ head as a shameless demon as it loses its’ strength to continue. 8)
