Title: Area school teaching about headaches...
Post by taraann on Oct 20th, 2004, 6:42pm
Here in Charleston, WV my 12yr old neighbor told me they were learning about CH today.  She said she was listening very hard cause she knows I get them.  They watched a video interview of a woman who suffers from CH and her explaining the pain and how it disrupts yourlife.  They also told of how these headaches are known as "suicide headaches" .  Her class will be learning more about CH and all types of headaches for a month.  I was very excited to hear they included CH in their curriculum.  Very promising.  She is gonna keep me posted on what she learns cause I'm curious how accurate the class will be.  Hoping it is.

You should go to her school and talk to the teacher. Very curious how she would come up with CH's as a topic when docs don't even know about them. Maybe she gets them too. You can find out who made the video and where she got it.

Just a thought.

That is awesome.  I would like to see the interview that you are talking about.  I watched a show on Discovery Health Channel last year at this time that was about cluster headaches.  It was about a guy in England that had them.  It was VERY interesting.

I was considering calling her school to find out exactly what they were learning and if I could do a question and answer thing for her class.  I'll be talking with her some more today (her mother called her home for homework yesterday so I couldnt finish my million questions to her lol, poor girl) I need to find out what her teachers name is.

Damnit, TaraAnn, you are falling on your face there!!!  You should have already been down at the school and grabbed that video!  Slacker!!!

I tracked you down in New Hampshire, do I have to track you down out in Ridge Runnerville and smack you up the side of the head?

Chuck

PS:  Great to see you back with the family!
