Title: A puter question   (not at all CH)
Post by Charlie on Oct 20th, 2004, 3:22pm
Thanks to a whole bunch of you, I found how to get my address bar again. The thing is, I have to go in and unlock the toolbars, bring down the address bar and then relock the thing every time I start up. It seems to stay all day but when I start up, I have to do it for everywhere I go.

Just wondering if there is something in properties or elsewhere that I may have unchecked......

It is supposed to save the configuration when closed.  If you have multiple browser windows open, make sure the last browser window you close is set up how you want to use it.

If you haven't done it, download and install the latest version of your browser.  That may reset the configurations back to where you can control them again.

Thanks. It doesn't stay configured every time. It makes no sense.

I installed the lastest XP deal a couple weeks ago. Took all damn day.  ::)

It's not imperative just one more step that I didn't have to use before.

You can always download Mozilla Firefox, works like a charm.

Charllie you might want to try a system restore...

Just an idea...

Like Gator said the system is supposed to save the configuration when closed.

Good luck ;)
