Title: I guess it's my turn to ask for prayers.... Post by Virginia on Oct 18th, 2004, 3:44pm About 80% of the time I can "handle" these chronic bastards. Then there's the other 20% of the time. I try not to say a lot about what's going on with me, because I know there are always others suffering worse than me. The past week & 1/2 has been one of those 20% times and I really could use as many prayers as you can spare. Went to the Urgent Care last Tuesday night and my lame neuro wouldn't authorize an ongoing DHE treatment so I was only able to get 1 DHE IV while there. That didn't do anything, I was up every 2 hours that night. The worst night so far has been Thursday night when I spent about 4 hours on the floor of my bathroom crying my eyes out. It's cool & dark in the bathroom and I figured it was the only room in the place where my neighbors couldn't hear me wailing. :'( My oxygen hasn't been helping at all. I came back to work today and I'm struggling just to make it though the day. I have a non-refundable plane ticket to fly to DC on Saturday for a week's vacation. I have not taken a week off for vacation in years and I was so looking forward to it. Right now, I can't even imagining traveling the way I feel. Like I said, if you can spare any prayers I'd truly appreciate it. Feeling down & out & beat-up... Thanks, Virginia :-[ |

Yesterday started out ok, but that beast has a way a playing games with us as you know. I got through most of the day without a hit but then at 4:30 pm I started to feel some pain. It did not become full blown until 6 pm and lasted till 6:45. At 7:30 I got hit again, another 10 that last till around 8:15. I dosed off around 9pm, only to be woken up by the beast at 11pm. That hit lasted until 12:45 am. At 1:30 am, I was up again. Not sure how long that one lasted. I finally nodded off a little on the couch in an upright position. :-[ I'm at work again, but feeling like crap again. Got hit with another bad one around 10 am and couldn't find a cool place in the office to hide. Thanks again for your support, keep the prayers & thoughts coming....I know "it will end".
