Title: prayers requested please for my little man Post by cschick on Oct 16th, 2004, 10:43pm My little guy is fighting a cold and very sore throat. He's been on antibiotics for a week already and not feeling any better. He is actually worse today than he has been all the time he's been on the antibiotics. I am giving lots of snugglies but prayers would be appreciated! He said when he swallowed his medicine earlier that his "throat was attacking him"! I love his way of explaining things! [smiley=heart.gif] Thanks in advance y'all! Karen |

Title: Re: prayers requested please for my little man Post by nani on Oct 16th, 2004, 10:50pm Prayers and [smiley=hug.gif] to Colin. He's gonna be fine. It's hard to watch our kids sick...we think we're supposed to fix 'em. I always remind mine that they're going to be fine...focus on the positive. Hang in there! |

Title: Re: prayers requested please for my little man Post by cschick on Oct 16th, 2004, 10:56pm Thanks Nani! Colin even mustered up a little bitty teeny tiny smile (first one today) when he saw the hugging smiley faces. He is going to sleep now so I guess I will too! Hope your weekend gets better. I know you have been suffering the last few weeks. I guess I am a Mommy at heart because every single one of these posts that I read that people are suffering my heart aches a little more. I wish I could heal everyone - guess that is why I am going to nursing school, huh? :) |

Title: Re: prayers requested please for my little man Post by BarbaraD on Oct 17th, 2004, 6:14am Vibes and hugs for a speedy recovery. Tis the season -- our little Caleb has a sore throat and fever too so we're going thru it too. They just feel awful don't they. Try Granny's remedy for the cough. Rub Vick's salve on his little feet and put some heavy socks on him and then cover him up good and "snuggle". By morning the cough should be better. He'll sweat, but that's good for the fever too. A little Vicks on the chest doesn't hurt anything either. Helps them breathe better. And on the glands behind the ears. (Granny believes in the power of Vicks - bet you couldn't tell). Hope ya'll are up and running on full steam soon. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: prayers requested please for my little man Post by Jeepgun on Oct 17th, 2004, 8:08pm WHOO_HOO!! Sounds like he's on the mend. Glad to hear that the fever broke. Sometimes it takes a little longer for the antibiotics to kick in, but it sounds like they're doing what they are supposed to do. Run, hop, skip, sing, & shout, Colin!! [smiley=hug.gif] |

Lord have mercy on my soul. God bless Daddy - I worked from 8-6 today and when I got home I was all prepped to do spelling words and reading and Daddy had already done it!! YEAH so now I get to come play with all of you!!! Aren't ya so happy? On a serious note - Thanks for all the prayers and vibes - he had a quick recovery compared to other bouts with the same thing! Love and Hugs to all!! Karen and Colin [smiley=hug.gif] |
