Title: "Slam Dancing"....Public hit Post by E-Double on Oct 15th, 2004, 8:57am Last night I went to a concert.... I finally got to see one of my all time favorite's Social Distortion after waiting over 15 years. Anyway, for those of you who aren't familiar with them, Social D. is a Punk/Rockabilly band that's been around over 20 years and still kickin' A$$. So I'm rocking like a champ, singing my heart out and sure enough I feel one coming on.... I reach into my bag to pull out my weapon of choice and start looking for the closest place I can find to give myself a shot. I can't get out of the crowd quick enough....Everyone is Slam Dancing, jumping, etc.... I have to just plow through to the closest spot where at least I will not damage myself or anyone with the syringe. LOL...... I got some wicked ass looks when people saw me injecting myself! I swear looked as if i was mainlining. Got fairly quick relief and was able to enjoy the show :D It's all worth it!!!!! Gotta live! Just figured I'd share with my family my most recent experience in Dancing with the Beast ;) Later and Pain Free wishes!!! Eric |

Title: Re: "Slam Dancing"....Public hit Post by Jeepgun on Oct 15th, 2004, 4:01pm I haven't heard of Plimsouls or Downface... The Chameleons, "Script Of The Bridge" is an AWESOME album! If you get a chance, check out a series of CD's put out by the "Strangefruit" company. Lots of experimental bands and unconventional stuff. Pretty much, the frontrunners to what was called, "melodic punk," in the 90's. :) [smiley=jammin.gif] |

Title: Re: "Slam Dancing"....Public hit Post by Tim_Z on Oct 15th, 2004, 6:28pm It never fails, having a good time or a fun evening planned and then wham the beast rears its ugly head. Before I found Trex the beast ruined many good times. I'm glad things worked out for you Eric. I like Social Distortion too. There was a song by The Replacements that just rocked, can't remember the name. It's been a while. Tim |
