I am sure most people would agree that if you or your loved one get Ch the rest of the world "just dosen't get it". My husband (James) was feeling pretty decent today, so we decided to venture out to my brother-in-laws house who lives close by. He was having a little get together. People mean well but its always the same thing:

He's probably better now that he is out of the house and not thinking about his head

Have you tried a nutrionist?

I used to get those headaches too, try going in a dark room and take a couple percocets

Your dwelling on it to much, just try relaxing

and on and on and on......

This terrible syndrome really should not have the word headache in it.

Just thought I'd share this with you, figured most of you could relate

Tell em you know a guy that got his arm blasted off his leg blasted around backwards,a big piece of redhot steel stuck through his face,that took out two teeth on the way,and part of his nose was gone to.All that ain't shit compared to ch.I'm the guy.

ARGH! That is exactly what people at work say to me! I get dirty looks after being gone for a day because of these stupid things. People just don't get it. My husband is very supportive of me and will do whatever he can when I get these in the middle of the night-rub my back, hold my hands so I don't hit myself in the head, hide the gun, etc. - but nobody else gets it because they don't see me when I have one. My mom told me to just take some Tylenol before I go to bed! HA! I will be here every day checking in from now on so if you need someone to talk to just send me a message! Keep on supporting him, that is all you can do! Good woman.

At my college one day at lunch I was eating a bag of chips. This girl told me that she was certain that my headaches wer caused by the "e-numbers" (food colorants?) in the chips, and that if I would stop eating anything with e-numbers my head would feel great.

I was so happy that she found the cause of my plight that I wanted to kiss her....right after I slaped her and told her she was an idiot.

Anyway, I've learned that the people here understand, and that's why we're all here.

I found a (dutch) website wich clamed to have the cure for CH.

It seems we dont have a physicalcondition no we have emotionalproblems [smiley=bigguns.gif]. So I contact them by sending them a furious email, needles to say I never got a answer back.

The onlyway people will understand what CH is, is by having it.

All of those outsiders must have mistaken us for people who give a shit about their opinions. Fuck 'em.

For every 50 people that THINK they understand my CH, I have 2 people who actually do. They are still in my life, the rest have been eliminated from my life.

I totally understand where you are coming from..."just take a couple excedrin" "turn the lights off in your office" "maybe you should get ANOTHER opinion from a different neuroligist."

Yesterday, I was at an outdoor strip mall when I got an attack. I literally ended up in the middle of the parking lot, laying, roling, pacing, beating my head. And all the while, my beautiful wife stood by me, making sure people didn't rush me to jail for public drunkenness, or stare, or whatever. Praise God for spouses who try to understand!
