Title: Weird clusters
Post by Georgia on Oct 9th, 2004, 3:34pm
Dennis is back/has been back in cycle for a while now. Last weekend, while working on the catwalk at the theatre, he walked straight into a metal beam, smashing his head and nose pretty hard (left him a goose egg on his forehead and cuts on his head and nose). Since then, his clusters have been increasing in frequency and severity.

Now here is the part that is concerning me: Recently, his clusters have started on one side, like normal, and then moved across his forehead to BOTH sides, at the same time. Everything else is pure, classic cluster - the duration, when they start, the pain level, etc. He has no other symptoms like auras or nausea or dizziness or anything like that.

What do you think? Anyone experienced this? Any suggetsions?
Thanks,
G

Did he get medical attention after the bump?

No, Sean, he didn't. He didn't think it was that big of a deal. He put ice on it, antiobiotic ointment, and a few bandaids, that's it.

Could be a concussion there.

I've been whacked in the head alot Geogia, had clusters for 24 years and always had the right side effected, never once the left.

I have heard of people getting alternating sides but very few both sides at the same time, I would get him checked out just to make sure its not something else.

Thought about that, but he doesn't have the symptoms of one - nausea, dizziness, blurred vision.

Any other ideas?
