Title: just need to vent Post by cschick on Oct 7th, 2004, 10:46pm Today was a really sucky day! Woke up with a CH at 1:25am finally got back to sleep at 3am. Woke up at 5 and just laid in bed until 6:15. Got up and got ready for work, got my son up and got him ready for school, out the door at 7:30. Got to work by 8:15 (wasn't due in until 9) to get some OT. I am a CSR for a medical insurance company and had the nastiest bunch of snotty people on the phone whom I did not feel like dealing with since I was suffering the after effects of the CH. Stayed on the phone all day until 5 when my friend ended up having to drive me home because I was so sick to my stomach. Get home, help my son with his homework (by the way, he is in 1st grade - we spend about 1 hr a night on homework! what the hell?!) and reading, get on here to see if anyone is lurking around. Not much going on, phone rings it's my mom. She lives in Florida, was just here last week visiting with my dad. She tells me she went to the Dr yesterday and they ran an EKG which showed she had "serious" heart damage. Great. Wonderful. Can this day get any better, well, I am just betting it will. I would normally have just gone to bed after a day like today but not tonight, no way! I know what is coming. Sorry to sound like a whiny little bitch but I had to get it all out. phew I feel much better now. |

Title: Re: just need to vent Post by Charlie on Oct 8th, 2004, 12:52am I've been there, we all have. CH does a real beating now and then and when the world decides you are the designated doormat, it makes one homicidal. Feel free to rant and rave. It's our thing. Charlie |

Title: Re: just need to vent Post by cschick on Oct 8th, 2004, 11:27pm Thanks for everything guys! Today was a much better day. My son got a 100% on his spelling test - we celebrated with a trip to Wal-Mart to get a Lego Knights Kingdom figure! :) I did have what I guess you all call a shadow all day, but at least it never became a full blown kick my ass to the curb CH. I will take what I can get. I am trying the melatonin tonight and benadryl - read about that last night on the other board. I will try anything at this point. Hoping for a CH free night for all! |

Title: Re: just need to vent Post by cschick on Oct 10th, 2004, 12:14am I'm dealing better this time because of the information I have been gathering and from all the kind words from all of you! I'm not crazy after all!! Well, maybe a little. :P I have an appt with my PCP on Friday so as long as I can hold on until then I am sure he will be setting me up with a Neuro. We have a place here called the Headache Care Clinic which thank God is in network with my HMO. They are supposed to be pretty good there so keeping my fingers crossed. I work with a lady that has suffered from migraines for years and she went to them and she hasn't had a migraine for over a month!! Hoping for a miracle here I know but any relief will be welcome. |
