I tell my wife that all the time. ;;D That rack is one of 4. Setting up a new Windows 2003 Server Network on it so we can dump the NT stuff. Got another whole big 20 ft long bench full of stuff too. Do you use shutterfly or another place? I can't get my stuff to show full size like yours do. |

First you must post your pic(s) on a server somewhere on the internet. If you don't have one you can use shutterfly or imagestation.com. Once you have uploaded your pic, open it in full view, right click it, goto properties, and copy the url it lists for location, then insert that url in between the [img][/img] tags provided when you hit the little picture button above the post window. Your pic will then be inserted into your post. Do you understand that? |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by vig on Oct 5th, 2004, 6:13pm first, take the picture, move to the side, make sure you overlap a little, take the next, move to the side, overlap... etc... til you have the whole subject. You can go up and down too. The real trick then is having a software package that 'stitches' them together. I use one called PhotoStitch that came with the Canon Elph.... My bro got a Sony digicam and his came with a different package that does the same thing, you get the idea. Actually the first dozen of mine sucked too, practice practice practice.... After a while you get a good idea of what's going to work and what aint.... Things up close cause more distortion. |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by vig on Oct 5th, 2004, 6:23pm and then, last but not least, you have to go find subjects that fit the technique... like the Lenoir, NC graveyard: http://www.kdlltd.com/vig/graveyardt.jpg Since we were on the Halloween topic this week... Here's the full size strip: http://www.kdlltd.com/vig/graveyards.jpg Sometimes regular old pictures are cool too. Sarah died in 1886 http://www.kdlltd.com/vig/graveyardStone.jpg Bob, behind her, was 17 at the end of the Civil War... a confederate veteran. and a 'Man Without Guile"! |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by Charlie on Oct 5th, 2004, 7:39pm Such nice stuff. Thanks guys. I can put images here but I just need to learn how to shrink the things. When I send stuff like the factory or machinery: http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/mach.jpg this stuff comes from old billheads that I scan small. It can't be that simple for photos...is it? Charlie |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by ExplodingEyeBall on Oct 6th, 2004, 12:30pm I found a copy of PhotoStitch on the internet at a Japanese web site. I don't remember the URL but if anyone wants a copy, P.M. me with the email address you want it sent to and I'll get it to you. It's about a 4-1/2 meg zip file. |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by Jeepgun on Oct 6th, 2004, 12:55pm Charlie, for shrinking images, download Irfanview. It's freeware. Check here: http://www.irfanview.com/ |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by Jonny on Oct 7th, 2004, 3:22pm This is my first try so dont laugh...You hear me? ;;D http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4ce26b3127ccea84cc15d7acc0000001610 Well, looks like I need to enlarge the pic more, this is just two pics stitched...cant figure out how to do three.....LOL On the left is where Plymouth rock is kept, to the right is the Mayflower 2 Back to the drawing board ;) ...............................jonny |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by vig on Oct 7th, 2004, 3:24pm Yeah Baby! it's lookin' great Jonny. Just drag the third right on to the window. I drag the whole set right from Windows Explorer right on to PhotoStitCH at one time.. |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by Jonny on Oct 7th, 2004, 3:39pm Try 2 http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4ce26b3127ccea84c1150fb990000001610 I got the stitching down, but Ive been told that Shutterfly resizes, makes borders and generally fucks up large pics....so I guess thats as good as it gets.....LMAO ;;D .......................................jonny |

Title: Re: Tuesday Picture working Post by vig on Oct 7th, 2004, 3:43pm That's right, Shutterfly does that. I moved to a private web service.... Looking great! Maybe if we get enough cool ones done by CH folks, we can turn it into a calendar or something and sell 'em on EBay and raise funds. Just a thought. |
