Title: Oxygen Post by Connie on Sep 27th, 2004, 7:21pm Can someone take to much oxygen? My husband has just begun a cycle after a four year remission (we thought they were gone). He just started on topamax and verapamil. So far he has been able to abort most of them by running to the oxygen and doing about 10litters for 10 minutes but he is doing this about 8-10 times a day. I prefer this over the imitrex but not sure if it could be harmful. Thanks for any help. |

Title: Re: Oxygen Post by Connie on Sep 27th, 2004, 8:30pm Thanks. I would ask the doctor (and he really is a good neuro) but I found the people here on this board really know more. Four years ago I found this board when my husband was pacing up and down and I was at my wits end. It really helped me and I learned so much (even joined ouch). The doctor did prescibe O2 but he never told us about the mask to use so my husband never got relief. It was only through this board that we found out the right mask and litters of 02 to use. So far it has been working all the time, hopefully it will continue to work and this will be a short cycle (last one was 4 severe months) Thanks again. I am sure I will have more questions. |
