Then I apoligize. But please ma nature, call it off. Dammit. We now have the second hurricane (they call it Jeanne but she aint no lady) bearing down on us in the space of three weeks. Tho the weather folks kept telling us "No problem" but I knew it was a mistake when my son put away our shutters last Sunday. Unfortunately, I was getting some much needed sleep after a bad night with the beast and by the time I woke up it was too late, everything was put away. Ah well, we're all boarded up again and waiting for dear Jeanne to come calling. The weather folks now say it is still moving west at 14 mph and expect it to be a cat 3 by the time it hits the coast. Winds at 115 mph with gusts up to 150. The latest track has us center bull. Whoopie!! And, of course, it's too late to do anything but ride it out. All the major roads out will be parking lots, most of the gas stations will be dry and the hotels/motels full. And don't even thenk about trying to book a flight. I guess the only thing I can do is practice my bending over exercises.....

so I can kiss my ass goodby.

But on the bright side, I have not had a visit from the beast yet today, but then I haven't tried to sleep either.

I don't understand what the problem is. You guys should be pros at this by now.
Just Kidding and I know this is getting real old by now.

If you don't feel safe where you are then consider going south to the keys aganist the traffic and away from the masses. If you feel safe where you are then hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Ma Nature is a mean mother. Sorry to know you are in harms way again kip :( Clark had been watching Jeanne and couldn't figure out what was taking Florida so long to activate emergency services.

Keep your head down and stay safe, check in as soon as you can after the shit hits the fan.

Mudda' Nature is having a sneezing fit, to be sure. Hang in there, Bob. I have the feeling that this is the last big one of the season. I don't know how/why I feel that way, but there you have it. Meanwhile, batten down the hatches and try to get some sleep. PFDAN to you, my friend.

just saw the weather report, you aint joken. Vibes to you bob kipple, it's a cat 3 now and you are fairly near center. The saving grace is that this one is much faster than frances, unfortunately it is more powerful. I am up in Columbus, Ohio for business, but believe it or not I wish I was down there with my family. I feel safer when i can somehow protect people.

I am not religious, but I am praying for you and my family. Maybe He will mercifully listen to a sinner like me.

Jeeze Kip.

Hope you're all right. I've been watching the mess on the news here. Hope Kip gets near some power soon.

Time for Kip to build a bunker. On that, one guy in Alabama build a round concrete house just for this kind of thing. It worked but.........he got flooded. :o

i doubt he has internet access, most people down there have trouble getting clean water, hope to hear from him soon
