Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by Lizzie2 on Sep 21st, 2004, 11:50am My uncle submitted a number of photos for a calendar a few years ago. I forget how he went about doing it, but I remember it was pretty neat! He takes a lot of pics like you do..nature shots and such. :) Oh let us know if it does become a calendar! My brother and I buy each other calendars every year for the holidays since we were kids :) |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by Melissa on Sep 21st, 2004, 11:50am Hey Vig, What kind of camera do you have? I am in the process of winning an auction on eBay of a Sony Mavica (keeping fingers crossed). I can't afford the new cd-r Mavica's, but it'll do for the candid stuff I take. :)mel P.S. Here is a pic taken with my old (now defunct) digital polaroid on a Georgia Hwy. with Judy W. doing about 85mph, LOL! Notice the reflection... http://forum.lowcarber.org/gallery/data/500/35956Aug15_35.jpg |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by vig on Sep 21st, 2004, 12:12pm That's beautiful Mel! (I love the reflection... PLUG!) I don't remember any spots near there where the speed limit is 85... for digital, I have a 2 Megapixel Canon Elph S110. http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/powershot_s110-review/ for film, I have a Leciaflex SL made in 1968 http://www.shutterbugsdirect.co.uk/featured/Leicaflex.htm The Elph is soooo small that it fits in my pocket and is great for having with me at all times. The Sony's are great cameras too, and as soon as I can afford one, that's probably what I'd get. I'd love to get a digital back for the leica, but I'll have to win the lottery first. Bill Racer's been studying the new digitals so ask him for a more updated opinion on what's available. http://www.kdlltd.com/vig/tallMushroomTremont.jpg |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by TomM on Sep 21st, 2004, 1:49pm Hey Vig---you do take nice pics. I use an Olympus 3050 (3.2 Meg Pix) for my digital work and a 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" Graflex Gaphics medium format (120) for my IR, slide, and B&W work. Take a look...http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6mqbc/ TomM |

I believe it is 75...we were going 10 over the limit, LOL! What wasn't funny though, is the numerous accidents we saw along the way to Savannah from Atlanta. They were all in the oncoming lanes too...weird. |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by Lizzie2 on Sep 21st, 2004, 2:09pm Tom, That picture looks like a painting! Really beautiful work!! I have a Sony Cybershot for my digital camera, but it is a few years old now. I have some sort of Olympus for my regular camera, and I got it in 1999. That camera takes some really nice pictures. My mom just got a Kodak digital last Christmas, and it takes some of the best digital pictures I have seen out of a "regular" camera. :) |

Mel--thanks for the compliments. Liz--Thank you too. But remember, the camera is only as good as the person using it. It's NOT the camera; it's the photographer. Tom |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by Lizzie2 on Sep 21st, 2004, 2:18pm True true. I love to take pictures. Unfortunately, most of my best ones were not digital. Until I get a scanner, I can't post them. :) My grandfather on my mom's side of the family was a photographer, as well as two of my uncles. I love the pictures. :) |

Title: Re: Pic 4 2day, 9/21 Post by ExplodingEyeBall on Sep 21st, 2004, 3:02pm I was standing on the deck of this huge house boat when I shot that. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4d700b3127cceb75c4bb7e2230000001610 Our family went on a vacation with some friends on it. One morning, I got up early to step out and have a smoke. When I saw the fog on the river like that, I ran for the camera. Leesa....
