Title: Oh whadda day
Post by kimh on Sep 19th, 2004, 9:41pm
Usually i avoid posting about my non cluster related ailments.   Ya know.......i was reeely havin a good day yesterday (hence the song i gess ;;D).  Anyhow, after my shenanigans here at the board last nite, i shut off the puter and went to bed like a good girl.  I woke briefly and vaguely while Brian showered at the crack of dawn and got himself ready for his first baseball practice with the company team.....Brian all chipper and excited to be playin ball again..........forgetting that he's freakin 44 years old and not in very good shape? [smiley=huh.gif] ::)...........he disengaged the tangle of hair on my pillow flattened face and breathed a fresh faced kiss somewhere in that vicinity.

The day dawned this morning bright and shiny and FREAKIN COLD :o  Made pancakes and bacon and eggs and me and the kids sat down with cold noses and fingers and toes and had a delightful breakfast together while daddy entertained fantasies of wild world of sports....

Some time around 1pm:

I am happily preparing Sunday dinner (italian gravy and meatballs) listening to my radio......when I hear the front door slam and then someone talking............i remember thinking whoever it is sounds like Marlon Brando when he is old and fat in "The Godfather"??? [smiley=huh.gif]..........then-- i DISTINCTLY hear one of my children mention the words "DAD and ACCIDENT" [smiley=huh.gif].............Oh.  No. ::)  Yep.  Here comes Mr. Baseball, up the stairs clutching his side talking like Godfather (due to inability to breath properly).  His baseball hat is askew (and for some reason i notice his beard stubble is salt and pepper), his sweat shirt and sweat pants appear to have been severely smeared with dirt [smiley=huh.gif] and he has an unusually grey pallor.  I realize that this probably sounds mean but at that moment all i could think of was "shit, now i have to return the rug doctor all by  myself."  I gave him some motrin and a glass of water and tried not to smirk at the Marlon Brando accent, while he told me his catastrophic first game stats.  Apparently some 40- something fat ass ran into him at first base.  He keeps talking about next weeks game......... :o :o :o

I need more road trip plans.  Right.  Away. ;;D

Is this a polite way of telling me that moving to Wyoming and raising horses is some sortof mid-life crises...............
You mean to tell me that I'll be shampooing carpet, cursing the dawg, and swatting at my head INDEFINITELY?????
It's a LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

It ain't a lie if you believe it's true.  Course if you don't believe, could be only the cursin' and swattin' and shampooin' gets old, not you.   ;)  Only ya do 'um all better now than at 17.
Yeah, Wyoming sounds good to me too.

LOL you guys***

Brian wheezed on down the road and i'm farily certain he is still wheezing ;;D

Verdict is in:  He'll live to never get in the way of the first base line  Ever.  Again..............i will have to listen to Marlon and his lost glory for weeks - yup ::)  Plus - all heavy lifting now falls on moi - literally ;;D  No kiddin - on the way home from laundry (oh yeah our dryer broke this weekend too) I alone scarfed a sims sertra sleeper?  couch.   ;;D (Neighbors are moving = it was a MUST HAVE ;;D)

Yes I am strange, but there IS A REASON ..............PLUS!!!!!!Yankees keep winning.   ;;D

What ya gotta do is buy him some more toys. Everytime I fall down the stairs I find something electronic to play with with during recovery.

We need lots of TLC...especially when we are no longer pushing 50 but pulling it.

Nice little stories Kim.
