Title: my First...
Post by vig on Sep 17th, 2004, 7:48pm
My First Hurricane Season...

Wow. I woke up at 4am this morning thinking it was raining, but the noise was the wind.  I went outside and watched the trees.  Holy SHITE!

...anyway, around 5am the tree in the earlier picture went down and took out the power to our community.  I think it was an Eastern White Pine.  It smelled great!

I'm counting my blessings, apparently we missed the worst of it altogether.  I hope everybody's ok.

Here's my front yard now, or at least earlier today.

Completely flattered to be sure...........

I was simply thanking Vig for the pretty picture.

BTW, if it was my yard there'd be way less flowers (unless you count the sunflower graveyard left by the gopher), and a wood pile, sandbox,a tree fort, and balls and toys strewn everywhere.
