I read it every day Rev.  Spend more time there than reading the useless crap here.  I do read the cluster specific and medication boards here.  You're just too far away for me to be of any help.

Hasn't been any for awhiel actually.   :)  Have you checked out the board since DJ redid it?  There is even a post regarding the etiquette of posting there.  At least just check it out :)

Like I said Carrie, I haven't been back since all of the resignations.  Mayhap, I will check it out next week, if it is as you say.

edited to say, I still have a very bitter taste in my mouth, over what went on and am not completely convinced that it will continue to work smoothly.

It's a lot better. :)  I know for one that I didn't like that stuff that was posted before, and I also didn't want to give the link to medical professionals that I know because of how nasty that stuff looked.  Since it has been cleaned up, the general members message board is very good.

The only thing now is that now that the BOD/officer boards are back into hiding, I still think the general members need more of an update on what is going on at any given moment.  I get bored of refreshing the page and nothing changes day in and day out!  Loss less action since the fighting stopped. ;)

But don't get me wrong...I'm GLAD the fighting stopped.  Just would like to know more about what is going on. :)

Now how the HELL would you know that Thomas, unless you've actually VISITED the site lately?

Also, all this talk about "back biting, name calling, character assasinations, emotional sabotage, and just down right idiotic childish behaviour" came from much of the general membership and not the current administration or board of directors.  As Mast had said on the old business board, "we cannot control the members", which pretty much speaks for itself.  Things at OUCH have changed, and they are continuing to change even more FOR THE BETTER.

Anymore bullshit remarks to feed me Thomas?

I apologize for my seething words, but as a person who has tried over and over with diligence to hold things together for months, with as much patience and steadfastness as possible, can only take so much before blowing.

i am blowing steam, and will go back to looking forward with a positive attitude, but holding everything inside has done nothing but make me feel ill.

I believe in OUCH, with all my and heart and soul, I trust and believe in the people I am working with.  They are wonderful people who have nothing but good intentions, bright ideas and dedication to making OUCH succeed.  

Want to know how it feels to constantly be beaten down?  Come sit in my chair and read words from my eyes, especially after all the work and long hours you have put in.

Thomas, if you go read, you'll see that I that I posted the recent meeting minutes today...BEFORE you wrote your post!!

We really do have a wonderful team, the bod and officers, very selfless people, willing to pick up and take over where things were left and putting in a LOT of time and hours.  I'd like to thank each and every one of them.

Nope.  You're doing excellent work with the doctors in your country Svenn.  You made some huge strides for cluster sufferers in the past few months.  In my book, if you're doing some good work you've earned the right to talk some shit.

I am cautiously optimistic about the current direction of OUCH, but the events of the summer really hurt a lot, and it's going to be a while before my faith and trust are restored, so lighten up, Bob_P and Mel. I know Thomas and I aren't the only ones who are still feeling pretty raw over the whole thing. Sorry for not being superhuman and being able to instantly, miraculously heal and leap back into the fray as though nothing ever happened.  :(

You may understand or you may not. Either way, I guess I'm just not an "organization" kind of guy. I'd rather work with other clusterheads one-on-one, support whom I can, and hope that others will do the same for me when I go back into cycle.        Put old dad down for a mess of those accolades to Mel as well. And for all the other people on the board that is doing what they feel is the thing to do to help speed along the eventual cure for Cluster Headaches.

       Some of us here do help others individually with meds, money or phone calls. Others have agreed to be a part of the decision making in a formal way to help. No one has ever jumped on me for not sending $20 to help someone having trouble paying for their meds and I don't intend to jump on the board for not going at it the way I think it should be done. August was a bad month for OUCH. There are now new board members and they are working hard it seems.
       My hat is off to you. Hang in there. The alternative is not good. The rewards may be awesome.

Today is the day I finally get to say my peace...
I have been judged as a dilletante, accused of "stealing things that arent mine", and being somewhere I am not wanted, and certainly do not belong.
It is ONLY MY opinion, but I will gladly share it today...if people would stop trying to elevate themselves to sainthood around here, and actively listen...read what is being expressed.. and QUIT being so judgemental  I suspect   life could be a better place.
Some of my favorite people have been jumped here today, and that hurts. I know how to reach them without heading here, and that is exactly what I will be doing in the future.
I have said it before, and I will say it again..for people who suffer soo much from CH, it stuns me that they feel the desire to inflict pain on fellow sufferers.
I AM A SUPPORTER...AND I CHOOSE TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO HAVE BECOME MY FRIENDS.AND I WILL DO IT SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN HERE IN THE FUTURE.
Do not try to turn my words around......and NEVER assume I was here for any reason OTHER than to be of some support !

My friends, you know where you can find me..and I will find you as well.
As for the others..well, life gets better..the circle gets smaller again...

It's at 3 pages and rising.  God only knows what it will get to when everyone gets home from work.  And so this is my point:

I got confused by the collar comment.  I thought you meant shirt collar, Cootie - so I was gonna jump all over Linda and argue with her for saying that Mike is not wearing the collar.  Because Mike is the only one wearing a shirt with a collar in that picture.  See I know that our dog, Barly, never wears a collar.  I'm easily confused though.  But that's nothing new.

This truly is an amazing place.  How an innocent question about a post on the OUCH board can degrade to viciousness, get rescued by some PRECISELY timed (and very well done) joking around and then just plop back into the shitter in a heartbeat - well, it's just beyond me.

I'm already in withdrawal.   :'(

(He has really thick, curly hair.  We now know that when we see smoke starting to rise from it, that he's been standing too close to us again, when we're smoking.)

Actually, last time I was in Nashville was 2001, on my way home from the Atlanta convetnion.  Went out to Jefferson's diggins, peeked in the window of the Opry and visited a little place called the Upper Loft by the University.  Since then the closest I've been is Custer, South Dakota.
