Hello all! Its been awhile since i've been here and do apologize for my absence but its been a rocky last 2 years and been wanting this bad dream to end but now my headbangers are finding their way back after a 2 year break and they are lasting longer and im afraid this session will be even longer then the last 2 years ago, this is my 7th session and every one gets longer and seems each bout gets longer and i just am about at wits end! I've been trying to get SSI due to some spinal diseases along with these headaches and its been over 2 years and still no hearing and cant get a medical card to see any doctor and the free clinic doesnt have the money or resources to help me out so i am at a lost. I thought i might have these whipped this year because i started drinking nothing but water with occasional soda or lemonade back in july cause usually my sessions begin in august but i got lucky and had to wait til 2 days ago and so far they are not as frequent and are letting me sleep most of the night but they are lasting longer each epidsode. I usually have been able to take imitrex nasal spray when i could and it would help but i cant afford the doctor to prescribe me the meds. so maybe i could find a pharmaceutical co. that might give me the meds. but every doctor i have talked to wants to monitor me and i cant afford to make those mutiple vists so was wandering if ya had any suggestions? Well sorry we have to meet under these circumstances but it is sure nice to know that there people out here that can relate and maybe save a life or give that boost or some comfort to me or others in similar situation and i will appreciate all and any suggestions or advice or comments that ya may have. Well i imagine i will be around for a long time so good to meet ya and will check in often when PF.

Sorry the beast has returned, bro....as far as medications...dont know what to tell you as I have been in the same boat even though I work about 60 hours a week with chs...My insurance wont let me have but three a month....Thank God for family! Check out some of the Pharmaceutical companies is about all I can suggest to you...Good luck to you and may God bless, nancyc :D

Hi Nancy! Thank you for your time and kind words and yes ive found a pharmacweutical co. that would provide the meds but have to have doctor and they want to monitor me so it would be multiple visits and i have no insurance or anything so im kinda between a rock and hard place but maybe by grace of god something will happen soon. If you dont mind me asking , how many episodes do you have a day and what kind of work do u do? Thanks again for your reply and may God lookout for you sister and keep you PF! Take care

I am a Nurse....am chronic....have had alot of pf time until lately thanks to a good neuro/pain management doc....but recently have been getting hit once to seven times a nite. Have you checked into any free clinics in your area? There has to be some kind of resources in your area.....smiles,nancyc

Yes i have tried our local free clinic and they dont have any money for the meds i need. Well i just had my second bout today and it lasted about hour and 20 minutes and if it were not for the comfort of having my own room to go lay down and begin the battle i dont know what i would do. I have lost 2 jobs due to these bouts with my headaches and im just beginning this session so i expect it to last until at least november and they usually strike 7 to 10 times a day and night. I will say if you can have these battles and maintain a job then more power to you and that i wish i could find a employer that would let me escape the work setting for couple hours during my shift everyday for months, i would be tickled to death to be able to escape the harsh situation i find myself and family stuck in!!!!! I think i will have to just try to find the strength to sale something to go actually see a doctor and try to explain and convince him or her my situation and get them to help me get on a indigent program or some meds somehow! Well Nancy i apologize if i sound critical of you cause im not meaning too, I really think its great that you have the will and strength to make it through these tribulations and that you have such good support from your medical provider and employer and i know that my day is coming soon, like i say i have other medical problems too and its all coming together now and i have all my records so i can draw out the big picture for whoever needs to listen or wants to listen but its coming my way soon! Well good luck and will be praying for PF days for all of us!!!!!!!!!
