Thanks, but it's not belated yet. It's this Friday the 10th.

I'll be 42 and I'll start acting like I'm at least 21.

I've been seeing a lot of September Birthdays here.

Must be a lot of mid-westerners here.

Cold Winters + Snuggly nights = September Babies.

Dream Theater is awesome!

The drummer is from my neck of the woods.

My opinion one of the sickest concerts you could see. By far some of the most talented musicians around. WOW!!

Enjoy and Happy Birthday in advance.

Best,

Jealous Eric

Awwwwwww - that's so nice of your wife.  Happy Birthday to ya........

but -

I dont see why you have to start acting like you're at least 21.   What's the fun in that???   Life's too short to be all grown up

jonny...

I've been listening to them all morning here at work.

My boss has asked me turn it down a couple times now.

They are all music majors from Berkley.

From what I understand, they put the band together to relieve boredome at School.

All of them are incredibely talented and I've wanted to see them since the first time I heard them.

It'll be pretty cool to see Yes too.

Woobie....
I promise I won't act over 21 unless I get get carded for drinks at the concert. It's been a looooooooooong time since I've been carded for alchohol though.

Cool.......I've seen Yes several times......and think I have some of the other bands stuff in the closet....old vinyle ! I'd like to go see Pink Flyod again........kinda got to where we don't feel comfortble in the big inside halls for concerts anymore. Too hard to get out if 'ya had to' fast ! Sumthin I never worried about years ago when we did concerts alot. Almost gettin trammpled goin to the Jefferson Airplane concert sorta made us 'think' even tho that was outside and many many years ago. (Akron Ohio) When Grace Slick got arrested. I should say so!
I saw Yes on this tour and I promise you that you won’t be disappointed. Howe, Anderson, White, Wakeman, and Squire. Glad to hear you have great seats and you'll be happy to have them. I won’t review the show other than to say, don’t be late coming back from the intermission because the acoustic set will probably blow you away. A greater set of musicians on one stage would tough to find.

Yes Setlist... If you’d rather be surprised, don’t read any further...

Firebird Suite
Going For The One
Sweet Dreams
Your Move/All Good People
America
South Side Of The Sky
Yours Is No Disgrace
Clap (acoustic)
Wonderous Stories (acoustic)
Long Distance Runaround (acoustic)
Roundabout (acoustic)
Owner Of A Lonely Heart (acoustic)
And You And I
Awaken
Every Little Thing (encore)

The following is part of someone else's review of DT just for a little info to keep the juices flowin.........

I thought the show was fanatastic...my 5th Yes show. But I was there also to see Dream Theater, one of the best bands in the world right now. DT was not some last minute act added to the Yes bill. They started in 1988, and have quite an accomplished discography. They have an AVID American and international following. Dream Theater features Mike Portnoy on drums. Mike has won every major peer and fan drum award for the past decade for both live and studio work. I bet many did not realize that when they saw DT they were watching probably the best progressive rock drummer in the world today. [PF note: Yes' White ain't too shabby lol]
The same can be said for the brilliant Jon Petrucci on guitar, as well as the rest of the band, Jon Myung on bass, James LaBrie with his amazing range on vocals, and Jordan Rudess on keys. Both of these bands are big fans of the other, and Yes has been a major influence to DT. I love Yes, and have for thirty years, but objectively speaking, DT is technically every bit as good, in fact better in many ways. DT is carrying the torch of the great prog bands such as King Crimson, Yes, Nectar, ELP, early Genesis, Rush, and Queensryche. DT and Yes on the same stage is a prog rock wet dream.

I guess you better bring a towel ;-)

Looks like Yes dropped a couple to fit in the double bill but you won't be disappointed.

PF

LAst summer I saw DT and queensryche @ Jones beach (NY) WOW!! They even jammed together!

Don't be surprised if Yes and DT do that as well..

Your eyes and ears will truly explode ;)

Enjoy,

E.

Thanks for all of the reviews guys.

Being a 30+ year vet on the guitar and drums, this is going to be a wet dream any way.

It will be a once in a life time thing to see that many musicians of this kind of talent in one night. It will make things even that much better if they do a jam together.

If I can sneak my camera in, I'll be posting some pictures and MAYBE a little bit of video if I can get away with it.

I'm sure that when I get home from the concert, I'll beat the hell out of one of my guitars till my wife tells me to go to bed.

Pat

I'd go just for the acoustic set alone!

Happy B-Day. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday,

YES!!! They've been my favorite band since high school. Your going to see a great concert.. The aucostic set was amazing. Didn't quite understand the large set props..... YES hasn't done large sets since the mid 80's. I saw them in Philly and they did a tribute to Philly DJ Ed Shockey who past away several months back from complications with his diabetes. Ed Shockey was probably the biggest YES fan in the world. It was a great tribute.
It's great to see bands like these still together andstill preforming live after all these years.

Enjoy it who knows if they will come around again.

Take care,
Andy

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dream Theater played a solid hour of the most kick ass music. There's to much talent there to begin explaining.

1/2 hour break and then Yes came out and played for 2 1/2 hours.

The acoustic set was out of this world. I've never heard roundabout done as a Chicago Blues shuffle but that's how they did it. It was very interesting to say the least.

Owner of a lonely heart was awesome in the acoustic set too. Steve Howe did an incredible Chet Atkins style thing on the acoustic guitar while the road crew was setting up the stage for the acoustic set. It totally blew me away.

Rick Wakeman still amazes me.

It was definitely worht the $65.00 a ticket to go.

I did get some pics but they came out like $hit.

Here's a few.
