This past week, all in 1 week, I've dealt with;

A drug sting operation
A DSS complaint
The attempted murder of a 12 year old boy (by the father)
A house fire displacing 3 families

Sobriety sometimes sucks but I'll keep it anyway.

I'm guessing that he works in law enforcement.

Another guess is that DSS = Department of Social Services or something like that.

Add 1 fact:
Staying sober is the best thing that can happen for any one who has ever had problems with alchohol. No matter how bad it gets sometimes, being in control is better than being drunk.

Congratulations. I know how it is to conquer an addiction, and I'm in the midst of doing it right now. Sorry you've had to wade through a cesspool recently.... Congratulations again.

Thanks to all.

DSS = Depatment of Social Services (Child protection unit)

I coordinate all the social services for a very large property management corporation. That includes all ADA issues as well as seeing that legal issues (drug dealing, abuse, violence, gang issues, etc etc.) are addressed by local and state law enforcement. I am not real well liked by the criminal element.

(I also have to keep Jonny out of the bath house)

Thanks for all the hard work putting up with all that stuff!! Also congrats on your 10 year mark. That is really really great!!!

Being someone who did spend a lot of time working in an inner city ER and still works in an inner city hospital...the cases get really disheartening.

Makes me really happy for you that you've hit this mark!! Keep it up!!
