Title: Dreams
Post by Woobie on Sep 5th, 2004, 8:53am
Three times in the past 2 years - i've had dreams in color.
all Three times - the dreams came true.
All three times - a death.  Always the same day or the day after.

WTF?

Anyone had this happen to them?  I didn't believe in this - but three times?????

I dont want that ability.......... Dont want it - dont need it,  and sure the hell don't know what to do with it.

I asked a few people at work, and they all think i'm nuts.  I know that you guys will also think i'm nutz, but atleast i dont have to work with you every day  ;)

Anyone??

tina :-*

PS - I havent even told Ramon this... thought he would think i'm nuts too.  Cat's out of the bag now, I reckon!

I dream in color a lot. But I've never killed anyone by doing it.  ;;D

If you have a dream like that why not just tell yourself that you don't like the direction the dream is taking and take another route?

Can you dream I won a million at a Blackjack table?

Dear Woobie,

Nothing to worry about. I dreamed 9/11 before it happened, and I was freaked out for WEEKS after. Sometimes, we are able to "tune in" to certain knowledge. Try not to worry about it too much.

Peace & Love to you and Ramon,

Sceptic here.

Dreams are nothing more than random electrical firing in the brain that we try to make sense out of .

Just my opinion  ;)

Ever read anything by Sylvia Brown?  I don't necesssarily subscibe to everything she says, but she does make a lot of sense sometimes.

"Random firings," until you actually see events played out, detail by detail, before they occur, and when they actually happen, it's nothing but constant deja vu. I truly wish it were a case of randomly firing neurons. That would be a lot more comforting than the reality.

Woobie,
My dreams are always messed up rehashes of what I have experienced in the past. I cannot control my dreams but there are people who can. I have had dreams that have spanned years in time, that is one dream was about years in time.

As for dreams meaning something, a message in dreams is one of the ways God talks directly to people. God spoke in a dream to Joseph to flee with Mary and Jesus to Egypt, and He also spoke to the wise men not to return to Harod. How the message was told we can not know. It may have been direct words or a vision of what to do or what would happen if they didn't listen.

The dreams of someone dying would only be fruitful if you could do something about it. Maybe it is to prepare you of what is to come. As for dreaming in color or black/white, how the dream is perceived probably has to do with how clearly it is remembered. A vivid dream where you remember every detail would be thought of as dreamed in color because even the colors would be remembered. A dream like I had this morning with only a few parts remembered would seem grey because only a few key points are remembered and the rest was lost in the back ground noise.

As for me I dream in infrared  ;;D

Lucid dreaming and dream incubation are talents that can be cultivated. Dreams and non-drug induced altered states of consciousness are among my favorite topics... I've been fascinated by such things since my teens. Science doesn't have all the answers, and the last great frontier is that of Inner Space -- Human Consciousness.  :)

I think I read once that dreams are thought to be similar to defragging. I like this description.

They seem to keep us from going off the deep end most of the time. Life is messy and perhaps dreams serve the purpose of keeping us sane. Dieties in dreams? Wishful dreamng perhaps. Whatever floats your boat.

Oh. I've never had a black and white dream. I've never understood this.

OMG... wow, that's it?  Only 3 color dreams in 2 years!  Am I understanding that right?  I had 3 vivid color dreams last night alone.  In one of them, I was beating the shit out of someone (they deserved it)... felt good so I punched them harder and harder  :-[

Well Charlie, if that's true then I must be on the ragged edge of sanity with the amount of dreams I have, LOL... it all makes sense now why I have so many dreams.

Yup.  Sometimes only a psychedelic experience rivals the brilliant colors.

Don't let dreams bug you too much.   :-*

Thank you everyone for the PMs

Dont let them tease you Tina the mind is incredible.  I believe you are developing a gift of sorts.  Sometimes if God gives us a gift that we are not ready for we merely have to say we dont want the ability and it will stop... maybe... til you are ready to accept it... but I believe HE doesn't give us more than we can handle and that you must be open to  it... Im all ears.  Anytime you want to talk..... Love to you Ree

oh and Tina please don't dream about me... at least for the next 2 weeks... Im already in Heaven... hehe

I've been taking melatonin (6mg/night) for a couple weeks now.  It has helped me sleep most of the night, though the beast breaks through some nights. I've been getting some technicolor psychedelic dreams out of it, too. Tonight was the weirdest yet.  The beast woke me up about an hour earlier than usual.  It was welcome because the dream was getting too weird.  I was in a MacDonalds,  and the paper beverage cups kept melting and falling apart in my hands.  The lady at the counter next to me was a medical rep., trading medical equipment for burgers. She handed me an oxygen bubbler bottle to use for my soda, but I had to take the tubing and stuff out before I could drink out of it, and I got tangled up in miles of tubing.  I woke up with my heart racing, my chest pounding, and the beast raging.

Ugh. :o

I dream in color big time......very realistic dreams that freak me out sometimes cuz it is as if it really happen'd cuz of so much detail. Used to dream about tornado's and dinosours.....scarey as hell.....apparently BIG disasters bother me subcontiously or things I can not stop or change or do anything about ! Dreamt there were several tonado s comeing and I hid in a hallwall and they all went around me and tore stuff up but I was ok.......so far no more tornado dreams cuz apparently I dealt with it in my sleep and somehoe conquor'd my fear 'in a way'. Still afraid of them.....who isn't. I get panic white knuckle scared when I hear they are around. Had a dream a few nites ago there were several big rabbits on my roof and a freind came over but wouldn't go up there and get em off ! And actually last nite I got on here late and started to post to this thread and fell asleep on the keyboard (dam ambien is fast sometimes).....I guess I dream'd I posted but it's not here. Stranger then strange Pam

Need help with that Jonny. Dumb here

One of my most frequent dreams is that I'm walking around a city. It's usually a composition of small villages and a large city. I often head out of town after a time. I get most of my exercise this way.  I'm probably trying to escape all the dead relatives that populate my dreams too.

Never get laid anymore.   >:(.

I dream about drowning a lot... I also dreamed of a woman who was a serial killer, performing oral sex on me in a log cabin in the middle of a snowy forest, just before she sinks her teeth into my achilles' tendon, incapacitating me, and then trying to kill me. I often have a recurring dream that I'm in a dark house and on the other side of a wall, I can hear a woman weeping bitterly for me. I want to console her, but the room has no door and I can never get out or find my way... And I dream of combat a lot... And sometimes, on the really bad nights, I fly a lot of those old medevac missions again.

Woobs, first off you are not crazy.

Secondly, you are not making these thing happen, so stop blaming yourself that youa re seeing them.

Dreams are far from radom firings of synapsis.  There are many people who are able to get a sort of precognition from them.  If these dreams are vivid then there is a good reason for her to take notice of them.

Does it mean that they will alays happen NO> It is simly a matter that the timeline that w live in is constranty changing due to each and every decision that we make.  Dont let it scare you hun. The mind is a tool that we use such a small part of.

edna - you're so damned cute! :-*

i think i've been misunderstood.  They DID happen.  Every time I had a dream like that..

I had a dream about someone falling into water... he died the next day .  Hung himself  :'(

i had a dream about someone falling off a cliff into a pit of snakes.   he died that same night in a motorcycle accident.

last week i had a dream that someone was falling off of a roof into water... and he died in a car accident the next day.

these dreams last only seconds... and they're very vivid..  real almost.. and LOUD - (if that makes sense)    They wake me up - they scare the shit out of me.

and i dont know that i thought it was my fault... i just am freaked out by it all.  the first time - i thought it was coincidence.  the second time - I was freaked - THIS time - i am beyond upset.    kknow what i mean?

i love you guys...
tina

Makes perfect sense, Tina. Been there, done that... There's really nothing you can do, except to scream inwardly, that you don't want this "gift."

Just because a psychic/clairvoyant "gift" is "bestowed" upon you, doesn't mean that you have to accept it.

Lots to ponder here Woobs. Know first hand it can be nerve rattling, but I mean really. You live with Ramon, I don't think it could be that hard huh??   ;) ;)

Agree with you Frank ten fold on this one. Somehow, although perhaps hard to understand and accept right now, it is a gift. Weird or scary one however you see it, but still the same.

Hope you're doing ok today and if not, you know how to find me.

hugs Tina,
EDNA
