Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by thomas on Aug 26th, 2004, 2:51pm Never used it, dunno. [smiley=huh.gif] If you were taking a pill, like zomig, I would say wait till it gets to about a "4" and then take it. |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Gena on Aug 26th, 2004, 2:54pm Why take meds when you can suffer in pain? |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 2:57pm I can just feel it crawling around at the back of my skull, every once in a while poking at the back of my right eye, just waiting until I least expect it. |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 3:30pm I just refilled it so I have seven for now...but there are no refills after this until Oct. at least. |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 3:56pm Correct me if I'm wrong...but did we discuss this on another thread? Has your doctor written a prescription for 6/month or has he/she written a new script for a higher amount? |

No to the other thread bit, and all I recieved was a script for one box(six count). That I guess is to last me until my next appointment in Oct. |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:45pm OK step one.... I'd contact your doctor and ask for a script with more leeway! Ask them to prescribe a higher number per month...like 18? Then there's step 2-100 after that, but it is a start. The doctor has to prescribe a higher number to start with. See how that goes? Maybe put in a phone call? |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:49pm The fine doctor happens to be on vacation....but I am going to mention something when he gets back. |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:53pm Anybody covering for him? I know...I'm a persistent pain in the ass ;) |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:56pm No, I was told my the nurse last Monday that if I had any questions that I needed to call before last Friday. :-/ |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 4:57pm That's bizarre. They should at least have someone covering in case of emergencies! When does he come back from vacation? Soon, I hope! |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 5:06pm monday...he works in a clinic with other doctors, but they are not all neurologists..they each have seperate nurses and the whole nine yards. |
||
Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 5:07pm Ah I see. Well Monday isn't too far off. I'd call then and see if he can write a script for a higher amount/month. Then you may have to do some battle with the insurance company, but there are ways! |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by crazy_mj on Aug 26th, 2004, 5:08pm By the way, thanxs for all the advice. I am planning on schooling my doctor at my next appointment. I have learned more from this website and people like you than from my doc. ::) |

Title: Re: Meds or no meds? Post by Lizzie2 on Aug 26th, 2004, 5:12pm We try to help. :) I think most people learned what they know here. Either that or through a really great doc who knew their stuff. Combination of everything. Good luck! |
