Title: Lithium Quesiton
Post by BstnEagles on Aug 25th, 2004, 4:12pm
Is being on Lithium wicked (from Boston here) restrictive?  I.E. will it effect other meds (ativan or ADS) or interfere with triptans.  Also, I assume that alcohol is a big problem.

Thanks

E

It lists verapamil as having a drug interaction, so the list probably has exceptions.  Doctors do sometimes prescribe interactive meds when they know how they work together.  So the list doesn't necessarily "say it all" if ya know what I mean!

I am not quite sure of your question. However, when in cycle, I take 900 mg/day of lithium and 480 mg/day of verapamil. It takes both medications to work effectively for me.

Alcohol does not seem to have an effect one or another except to make me foolish (well, more foolish than unusal).

Hope this helps.

E,

I have some if you need it, I hated the shit, it made my skin on my skull twitch wicked, and made me nastey. But it definately works for some here.

Let me know I'm in Boston all the time dude.

Sean

Sean,

Thanks for the offer.  Gettingg it is notthe problem.  Just want the background on it.  If its too restrictive its not for me.  Thanks.

Ed
