Title: Vibes needed
Post by jimbo on Aug 22nd, 2004, 12:01pm
My wife lost her DAD suddenly this week :'( Fortunately, he passed on at home and it was very quick and painless for him which is of some comfort to us. He was such a great man, maybe that was his reward from GOD for being so great. My wife and MILaw are just beside themselves with grief and I'm trying to comfort and help them in any way that I can. Hell, he was more of a Father to me than my own Dad was, actually I knew him longer than I knew my own Dad.

Rest in peace

Love always

Barbara, Jim, Andrew and Christopher

While the lack of suffering is so important to us, the element of surprise is hard.

So very sorry for your familys' loss.

Prayers are in the wind.

I can relate.  I feel the same way about my father-in-law and I have known him longer than my own dad, too.  Don't know how I will react when his time comes.

Major vibes on the way and my condolences for your loss.

Might want to pass this one along to your family, Jimbo.  This is a favorite poem of mine and was on my grandfather's prayer card when he passed away in 1996.

Quote:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
(Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
Mary Frye (1932)

Prayers and thoughts to you and your family!

Hugz,
Carrie/Lizzie2 :)
