Those havent stopped since before convention.

Thank you, Mark, for posting this thread, and thank you all for your continued prayers, vibes, offers of help.  I wish I could tell you things were better with Dave's health.  They aren't.  Not by any stretch of the imagination.  Every answer we get is bad news.  Dave continues to be increasingly weak, and to date, none of his treatments are having any effect on his immune system failures.  His doctor is amazing, and continues to search for help in his treatment.  Unfortunately, we haven't found the magic bullet yet, and I fear that by the time we do, it could be too late to do any good.  On top of that, although he is chronic CH, he is due to go into an escalated pattern for around 8 weeks, and I just don't know if he has the physical resources left to cope with the increased pain and lack of sleep that brings.
I just wrote to a friend and told her that I have tied a large knot in the end of my rope, and am hanging on.  i want you all to know that the fiber of my rope is made up in large part from all of you.  So hang in there with me!  It is difficult for me to find the energy to keep giving out nothing but sad news.  I do appreciate the caring and will share when I can. You will be the first ones we share any good news with too :)

Don't quite know what to say right now except thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Should I attempt a conclusion on where I'm at mentally and physically I'd tire of too much thinking.

Perhaps all that is left now is determination and faith?

But the willpower involved seems like even harder work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did. Many of you will probably understand that, I hope.
I'm told I can't have this or I can't do that, sit back and do nothing until we figure out if you're going to live or die. My body tells me they are right, but my mind says this idleness is a waste of time. If I can't do something, I quickly get tired of my own company. Thank God for Annette, my family and all of my family here, your optimism and support are stronger than mine right now and I'll accept that as a handle to hold tight to. Thanks for giving me that something to grasp on to!

Love you, Dave. As difficult as it is, you ARE doing something: You are conserving your energy so that your body's immune system has the maximum energy to fight. I'm sorry you're gearing up for an elevated cycle.... On top of everything else, it just doesn't seem fair. Please keep on hanging in there. Keep your optimism high and keep up the good fight, my friend.
