It goes down to about 55 or so at night and not much above 75 during the day. Hope those of you in the Fla. area are all okay - sounds nasty - take good care of yourselves. |

My great-aunt's place in Clearwater, FL was evacuated and my great-aunt went to my aunt and uncle's place nearby to Tampa. My grandparents live in a 12 story building right on the beach on Siesta Key which is in Sarasota, FLA. Their place was evacuated, and they said the water might go up above the first floor at least. My cousin and his wife also live in Sarasota and they are staying put for now. Here in Philly, it's just very windy right now. Haven't checked to see if it started raining yet! Lizzie :) |

Could lose power for a few days. Had a tornado a few miles from home last night - 20,000 lost power, but no deaths or serious injuries. Glad I'm not in Tampa. Gotta finish up a few things here, may take off work at noon to batten down the hatches. Will post again as I am able to. |

The population of VT increased by 25% overnight-----there are 70,000 + Phish fans who are here to see their last show in Coventry, VT ( a real one road in and one road out town.) Traffic on I-91 North was backed up for 30 miles as of last night. The field where the concert is going to be held is mostly knee-deep mud. Three people died in a traffic accident on the way to the show. (No, I'm not a Phish fan.) It's pleasant right now, but we are going to get the remains of the hurricane on Monday it looks like--no big deal though. Samantha |
