It's almost time to get out of here for the weekend.

I'm off to Indianapolis in the morning so I can spend the afternoon on Sunday watching 43 cars going around in circles at 190 MPH for 3-4 hours.

I'm going to Kentucky Speedway ... Aug 15th for an IRL race !
The 2004 edition of “The Belterra Casino Indy 300” will take the green flag on Sunday, August 15 at 3:30 p.m. The day also features a pre-race concert with country music artist Blake Shelton.

The BrickYard pre-race concert is Vince Gill.

I'm not much of a country music fan but, since I'm a musician myself, I never turn down a chance at seeing a live performance.

My total cost cost is not yet determined.

Tickets - $170.00 for 2 in the 1st turn.
Camping - $46.00 for overnight stay.
Gas - $30.00
Food and Drinks - I eat like a pig and I like Irish beer. This could get out of hand.
Souveniers - I need a new NAPA hat. The wife wants a Ryan Newman hat. Gotta get the ticket stub laminated. We need 2 T-Shirts. Estimated $200.00

Total - OUCH!!!

I thought NASCAR was supposed to be a blue collar sport.
