Title: To tell or not to tell... Post by Cerberus on Aug 5th, 2004, 12:04am that is my question. I just started the new job, had orientation today. First day of actual work is next wednesday. Do I tell em about my CH now up front? Or do I wait till later. I know kinda a stupid question, but, do they really need to know NOW? I wouldn't want it to become an issue when I am full blown in cycle, but I dont want em worryin about my capabilities being limited either...the last job was easy enough, just told em when I found out what CH was had been workin there 8 yrs already. This is a bit different of a situation. Ramon |

Title: Re: To tell or not to tell... Post by ClusterChuck on Aug 5th, 2004, 12:15am I ain't too smucken fart ... or I don't remember ... are you in cycle now? If not ... fuckem ... let them see what a good worker you are first ... then work it in to the conversation after you been there a bit ... If you are in cycle, harder question to answer ... I would still try to hold off telling them for as long as possible, till they see what sort of a worker you are ... Good luck my fine man tittied friend !!! And a nice ass you gots, too! Chuck the groper EDIT: Is it GROPER or GROPPER?? |

Title: Re: To tell or not to tell... Post by IndianaJohn on Aug 5th, 2004, 7:53am LMFAO! Yeah, listen to your wife. She is obviously a smart lady. BTW, your are NOT required to disclose that you have CH. I've had it for 12 years and have only just recently told my supervisor because he is a friend. I left out alot of details because most people just don't understand. Best Wishes! |

Title: Re: To tell or not to tell... Post by Charlie on Aug 5th, 2004, 12:11pm I pretty much agree. If they are pricks and will fire you for CH, I hope you can say "screw 'em." You can always give them info after the fact and say that you can't be sure that they will ever repeat themselves and that it doesn't last. Charlie |

Memory. [smiley=crackup.gif] The peeps at the NC Meet & Greet were doing just that. We could see them on cam. They were sitting right next to each other but, would be conversing via the comp instead of just turning to each other to talk. It was way,way funny. ;;D |

Title: Re: To tell or not to tell... Post by don on Aug 6th, 2004, 9:07am I wouldn't make a big deal out of it until you decide you want to keep the job. Then I would provide some documentation to human resources. |

And by then it may be to late. Late to work, days out, etc. etc. equals bye bye. If you have documentation of your situation on file with human resources then by law they may have to provide you with a "reasonable accomodation". No documentation up front and you have less of a case. Quote:
And what happens later when the beast decides to take over on a daily basis? Is there a probationary period with the job? |

This was my main concern...and BTW youse guys, I DO listen to woobs from time to time. another thing to consider is that I have worked under two of the current managers, one recently and one several times in the past...one of which knows the breakdown on my CH and the other, not as much but knows about it. That is why I asked... Ramon |
