Greetings all, I am only semi-happy to report that I have recieved new orders...(work). It is however, just that work. It doesn't pay well at all and the hours are suspect, but, its going to keep some kind of cash flow coming in when the unemployment expires, of which this is probably the last check. Irony...it is in the restaurant industry, not real happy about that, but I reckon ya gotta go with what ya know in a pinch. Aside from the afore mentioned attributes I am told that opportunity for advancement (especially for someone with my qualifications) is high, since the woman I interviewed with said so herself that I am WAY over qualified for the position I will be in. The bonus for me is that two of the managers already in place I have worked with before, the fact that I am overqualified, The Regional Director is in town tomorrow and will see my credentials immediately, and that there are going to be company needs met in the very near future.....essentially, I am foregoing part of the management training from the begining, since the position I am in would need to be done anyway. Other positives....I have a resume in with a recruiter for the hospitatlity industry as of today, he is searching on my behalf for things that fit my experience and requirements. So things are in motion on more than one level....here is to luck, something I have been lacking as of lately. As you were... -Capt. Brown Out- ***End Transmission*** |

Little did your interviewer (or the Regional Director, for that matter) know that you would be their overlord in a short 2-3 weeks. Carefully choose your title. I prefer 'Chancellor' myself. |
