What a beautiful Chevelle. Oh how I'd love to own one like that.
The fastest car I ever owned was (believe it or not) a 79' Trans Am w/ T-Tops. (It would've smoked my Mustand 5.0 !! ) That sob would flat out get crazy ! You had to feather it or you'd lose it for sure ! Had alot of fun in that car. Now ... thanks to these posts and pics ... I'm missing it  :-/

Beautiful car there Big D. But I've always had a hankerin' for this beauty ever since I was a kid. There's just something about having a car model kick off the same year you're born. I kick myself thinking about not following my gut & buying one in high school & fixing it up.

Now that's a nice ride Bruce.

I graduated in the late 70's and to think that about half them cars in the parking lot would be worth what they are today. I love cars from the 60's.

A Dodge Neon? I just may show up at at convention driving my killer 87 Ford Tempo. LOL

LMAO Frank!!  The white Jeep Wrangler is owned and operated by my 21 year old baby brother!! hehehe  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand...I WOULD "liberate it," but I only know how to drive an automatic!! <g> ;)

Here's a car for you. A Robin Reliant. It is a three wheeler car. It was quite popular in England in the 70's.

When I was 17, this guy came to pick me up for a date in one of these, I almost died of embarrasment.
All I remember, was my mother at the window crying with laughter as she watched me get into the car with a look of sheer horror that someone might see me. ;;D

Echo, the Cherry Red one is my husband's to drive..being old, it is a bearcat to steer.. big engine makes a LOT of noise and the firewall is at my feet.. it is not a fun drive...I'd much rather be a passenger !

The Canary Red one..well, it's fun!  Easy to drive...great sound system, much quieter engine..and it can zip! Besides, the top is clear, so I can see the stars at night.. I like that a lot...

BUT....Jeepgun...I am with you..I would still MUCH prefer to drive my Jeep........it  just isnt as good as the vettes in the turns.. y'know>?
BTW-The Red vette took  a 2nd this weekend in an all-Vette show!

Hey Jeep...

I'm from the Chicago area and I completely understand about people using their middle finger (or what ever cheep gun they recently purchased) in place of the turn signal.

Around here, the first clue you get that someone is coming into your lane is when they flip you off and curse at you for being rude enough to use the lane that belongs to them.

A good driver can make a passenger have the same reaction in a high performance car. Damn that's fun to do.... ;;D
