Title: Just Hi
Post by OneEyeBlind on Jul 29th, 2004, 10:10pm
Know I haven't posted much of late.  I've been pretty busy with just the mundane stuff of life.  No real headaches, just the headaches of life, but I read the board all the time.

I read something today that I wanted to share -

When I want to speak, let me think first:
    - Is it true
    - Is it kind
    - Is it necessary ?
If not, let it be left unsaid.

                                                  Babcock

OMG, what a boring place this would be if that were followed by all ... but it works for me ............ I'm around, just lurking, so to speak.

Vibes to all those in need, and those that don't speak of it being needed ......... well, you are still in my prayers.

Hiya Nancy,

Very good to hear from you!  I think of you often.

I went to the Four Diamonds support group on Tuesday night at Hershey Med Center.  The social worker told me that he had spoken to MaryAnn, but I did miss seeing her there.  How is she (and the rest of your family/you) doing?  Jared's parents were there.  It has been 5 months for them.  Very very difficult still.  I held Lisa's hand and told Jared's story because she was unable to.  Miss him so much every day, but he is at peace.  Christopher is too....God bless him.

How are you and your husband?  I do hope we can meet some time!!!  Take care!

Thinking of you,

Carrie :)

Yea, Nashville was kind of out for me since I took the trip to England.  England was a swinging though, so I don't regret my choice.  Perhaps next years convention ... or maybe Davcon ... who knows.

Red is doing good.  We find out what our next course of action is in the next week or so.  He's been feeling pretty perky lately though, so we are just grateful for that !

We did buy a house (a big fat fixer upper) so I have been busy painting and sanding floors BIG time !  9 gallons of primer/sealer later ........ and still rolling, rolling, rolling.  I guess I forgot that I really don't like LABOR INTENSIVE projects !  LOL.  Kisha (our adopted daughter) will be renting it starting in September hopefully.  The new kitchen cabinets are installed, new furnace, new hot water heater, all new plumbing ..... and still working.  It's coming together quite nicely, and the rental income will help, since neither Red or I are working.  I gotta get a real job soon !  LOL.

We also have taken custody of Kisha's two half-brothers (mother is a drug addict and has been for years) so we have our hands full at home.  Lance, 12 & Ryan, 14.  Yikes, I forgot how much fun raising teenagers was !  The grocery bill has skyrocketed, just wish my patience level would skyrocket as well !  LOL.

So, busy, busy, busy, busy, busy ......... but never forgetting all of you ............ I keep you in my prayers constantly.

Now I find this out after having finished off the basement.  Mud challenged as well.

Edit follows:  And why is it that when you sand drywall you end up with dust in your underwear drawers two levels above the work zone?

Hi Nancy~  Nice to see you posting...How is your family...?I think of Christopher often.  When I walked in the Relay for Life I had his name decaled onto my shirt........ I hope you are all finding little hints of him in everyday life.  Its sad when we lose those that are close to us especially from Cancer... but ever present is their brave spirit that carries us til we see them again.

Hope I didn't bum you out... havin a b*tch of a time with the head.............ree

Hi ya all !  I'm still kicking butt with the painting and yardwork project.  The people that lived in the house before us were some of the diriest people I think I have even know.  Cans upon cans of trash are still being thrown out ........ and that's after the bank paid a whopping 2400.00 to clean the place up !  Yikes.

Christopher is still always in my thoughts daily.  Each day I find myself thinking what would Christopher have thought of what I am doing with my life.  His was so short, but so meaningful.  I have to say, I aspire to be as generous of heart and soul as he was.  "And the children shall lead us" always comes to mind when I think of him.

Echo, the drywall dust gets in to your underwear no matter where you have it placed ....... didn't you ever read the instuctions on the mud bucket ??????

Ree, hope your headaches quit soon ....... sending positive vibes you way.

The rest of you ........ well, nothing but love for all of you !
