I might get slammed for this, but in Renee's defense I do believe she was trying to do what SHE thought was best for OUCH. Her plans obviously didn't go the way OUCH was designed to run as a business; but I feel her intentions where for the good of Cluster Headache sufferers. I wish her the best in any future endeavors. Hopefully she learned something from all of this and will be a benefit to another organization in the future.

I don't know, from what I gathered:

The convention committee was doing just fine, did the biggest and most thought out convention for us clusterhead that I think could have been done, who pulled off it off with their total commitment despite......interference. :o

The fundraising committee was raising funds for OUCH. I believe two have resigned due to..........interference. :'(

The advocasy committee has had their reputation knocked, possible resignation of one due to..........interference. >:(

Pres. considered resigning from the distraction related to dealing with the........interference. (stay Dave)

And so now though, we can HOPEfully move on.

I cannot log in to the OUCH site. Always have been able to in the past. Don't know why.

Why is it that there is SO much drama? I have never seen an organization that operated in a business like professional manner with so much drama.

I also posted this on the OUCH Board:

Let's see if I have the situation correct.

On the one hand we have 3 or 4 people, possibly 5?, who have chosen to or are considering resigning because of Renee or because of the BOD's slowness to act on complaints about Renee.

On the other hand we have Renee who does not state specific reasons for her actions or defend her position except to basically say that every one from the president of the organization on down are lieing about her.

Now Renee is taking her toys and going to another sandbox, but is kicking sand around in everyone's face on her way out.

I could see one person having a personality conflict with another and deciding to leave rather than fight. I could even see a second person saying, "If she goes, the I go," and leaving. For as many to leave or consider leaving as has occurred in this situation - all basically pointing to one person as the reason, I'd have to consider looking very hard at that one person.

As far as libelous and slandering statements and personal attacks in the Private Message Boards, I would hope people would be smarter than to write something down that they wouldn't want dragged into the public domain or even to a courtroom. If in fact this kind of thing does exist (and apparently it does), I hope that it ceases immediately. It is a detriment to our cause and reflects poorly on all who suffer. There is no room for that kind of behavior in the written record of OUCH business.

And now I pray we can put all this unseemly and unnecessary distraction behind us and move forward with the business of helping find a cure for our disease. Those of you still left in the BoD and those of you coming in and filling empty positions, please do not dwell on the events of the past couple months, but do not forget the lessons learned.
