Title: Summer: CH better or worse?
Post by sandie99 on Jul 28th, 2004, 10:18am
Hi guys...

How's your head this summer? Is it better now or worse?

Mine is still hurting. Bit better, so I keep my hopes up that I'll have 2 months off before the real hell breaks loose.

Best wishes & loads of PF days! ;;D

About the same. Temperature swings have been too drastic and too often to really give me a break.

Summer and winter were bad enough, but spring and fall are still the worst for me.
They don't call it 'Helloween' for nothing

If you mean are the cycles different, i don't think they are any different in scope or nature.

If you mean which would i prefer (LOL :P), i'd probably have to go with the cooler seasons.  I absolutely freak at hits at beach, on a hot tennis court, etc.  The intensity of the pain coupled with the heat = HIDEOUS.

Weather, hot or cold have never been a trigger for me. When I do have an attack I prefer to have a cool/cold place to pace. Cold night air in winter is best for me. Pacing barefoot on the cement patio at 40 degrees is best. Where I live the summer midnight temps can be in the 90's.
Winter or summer? If I had to be attacked I'd rather it be in winter.

Summer is that time of the year when I pencil in some quality time with the beast.  This year has been PF so far, but there is still a month of high risk.  I am hopeful that the melatonin/magnesium/5-htp/curcumin will keep the wolf at bay.

Well, I hate the cold, but it keeps the beast away.  Spring is normally when I get hit....right now I've been cluster headache free for about 5 weeks.  I get normal headaches about 2 times a day though.  I'm kinda stumped as to why I'm getting these normal headaches all of the time though, they run from about a Kip 3-5.  It gets really annoying, especially since I'm convinced that there is a direct link between my headache and my stomach, so not only do I just have the headache, but I feel sick to my stomach too.  I'm going on vacation in a week and a half and if I keep having these I'm going to scream, because I REALLY REALLY deserve this vacation.

Still 98% PF so I guess things are staying pretty normal...but then again "I never made it without biting, go ask the owl"...

I'd prefer winter.

Long hot spells give me some sort of  headache I don't like. This summer it's been rather cool though. Thursday highs in the 60's. I love it.

Summer, winter, spring, fall- it's all the same as far as hits go to a chronic. I prefer winter over summer as far as climate goes. You can always put more clothes on, but you can never take enough off. Fall's probably my favorite season.
