I have to cross Boston to get from my job to home. The major highway is closed.

You can't swinga stick without hitting and city cop, state cop, swat team, motorcycle cop, federal marshal, customs agent, ATF agent, etc. etc. And they are all warm and friendly. Heres an example.

I'm trying to get home. I stop and ask this guy who looks like a cross between a cyborg, ninja fighter, and the terminator. About 7'9" somewhere in the range of 1000 to 1500 pounds.

Excuse me officer how do I............................

KEEP FUCKING MOVING DICKHEAD! NOW!

Bizarre and uncomfortable stuff.

I really don't know why after 200 years, The DNC chose Boston. Maybe they want to make Massachusetts a "swing state" too :o

Had to go to a funeral today... guess where??? Dorchester MA... USA!!! The security is out in force... they were stopping trucks and searching them... etc etc... funny part is we got to where we were going in record time... seems like everyone took the week off... weird..........I feel unsafe......... damn politicians...(not specific just politicians) ree

Protesters have been really effective. Up and down Newbury Street (Boston's Rodeo Drive) chanting "Bombs are dropping, please stop shopping" One consumer poured out her Starbucks Latte Grande.

I got outta there quick!

What happened to the good old days of water cannons, tear gas, tire fires, clashes with the National Guard?

Can hardly wait till the next convention and see how the city likes the security for that one.

Of course I'm sitting watching every minute of the whole process. I just love it when politicians open their mouths... It's so inspiring. :P

Hot damn!! I hope the Libertarian party becomes big enough to be a viable political party, because that's pretty much the way I would vote. Personal, individual responsibility goes hand in hand with freedom. The two are inseparable. This is the very cornerstone that free nations are founded upon. Sadly, there has been a steady move away from that since the mid-sixties.

I listened to a Boston traffic report yesterday and they said that they would be closing I-93 probably between 4 -7 pm while the convention is happening. Also the MBTA schedule is screwed up. I've heard that its best to take Route 128 or Route 495---just go around all the traffic. I know that Spaulding Rehab Hospital (where I go to see my neuro) is RIGHT next to the Fleet Center. My neuro said that everyone was basically going on vacation this week.

Oh yes...and vote Libertarian!

Care Rove....that shining example of a GOP Constitutional watchdog, spoke some time ago in Texas. Rove, who is in that bizarre White House circle, told an audience that the WTC bombing is something the GOP can ride to victory in elections for some time to come. It makes me proud to have left the GOP when I did.

A lot of Bush's cabinet and advisors are leftovers from the Nixon administration. You know these guys are on our side. Yessiree, Bush is their man of the hour.

Why is it that the DNC was supposedly going to boost Bostons economy. Who said that was it Manino. The DNC is going to hurt thousands of businesses in Massachusetts. Why? Doubt it. People don't elect the president - states and their electors do. Massachusetts will vote for Kerry. If your a Republican in Mass or a Democrat in Texas, you vote is effectively zeroed out. The only important voters in this election are the undecided voters in swing states.

I am now in the third day of being right in the middle of this.

I cross through Boston twice a day and work in downtown Boston, about 6 blocks from the DNC, 4 nights a week.

I am getting home 15 minutes earlier than ussual!

Considering the logistics of the thing, they did a good job of covering the basis.

Just be sure you dont cut off one of those numerous blacked out SUVs with flashing lights. In Boston we flip you the bird. The Feds gun you down.

This sign is hanging over a pizza shop that closed for a week right across from the Fleet Center.

Mayor Menino's henchmen cited and fined him for not having a permit.

The owner has refused to take it down and it is still up there! People are donating money to help pay the fine.
