Here are a few of MY random thoughts concerning the convention.

It was truly an international convention:

1 from the UK
2 from Italy
2 from Norway
43 from Venus
45 from Mars
and one special one, straight from heaven....LUKE.

After being at other conventions, I have to say I don't know how Elaine(Atlanta) Bonnie, Margi, and Tracey (Vancouver) Cat (New York) and now Dave, Leesa and Jayne did it. There is such a tremendous amount of work that goes into putting one of these on. It just boggles my mind that they're all still sane.

I came there fully expecting to not like Cluster Chuck. I mean this guy is such a chavinist on the board. But I 'fell in like' with him immediately at the airport when he stood up from the chair, and said to me.."who the fuck are you?" and it only got better from there. The man is an awesome presence as indicated by the pics of him, especially in the bar as Jayne and I were shooting pool. He is now my new best friend.

I guess it will never cease to amaze me how this family looks out for one another. Everytime I got hit or someone else did...there was instant help. At one point someone said they were looking at me and could tell I was about to get hit before I even knew it. They were right. Several of us were sent home with ammo to fight the beast a few more days.

Most of you have already mentioned things about Dave and Leesa and the wedding, the speakers, etc, so I won't be redundant, but Dan did such an outstanding job and I just needed to say that again.

Me too.

I didn't really know much about Chuck. Now I know just what kind of brain-damaged goof he really is....I mean that in a good way...... ::)

Seriously, I don't know how he does it. Aside from his other problems, I've never been hit so often. Really pisses me off.

Jonny, I was expecting you to say that as you flew through the door in the smoking lounge at the airport, but all I heard was bitching about NY or something? LMAO! Man it was great to actually get to say goodbye to you, I had such a smile on my face after you left! ;;D

Linda, I'm not even gonna start about you gal, cause I could write a couple pages. So all I'm gonna say, is that it was great rooming with you! I hope I didn't fart too much during the night and I enjoyed curling your hair. ;;D

Lord Linda, I'd forgotten how bad you get hit. And watching Chuck.... amazing..

Is it just me or do my hits not seem so bad when I'm around others who look worse than me? Did that make sense? It's just that watching Chuck get hit three times in a row without a break, makes me think mine aren't so bad -- at least they're spaced out a little. Don't know how you handle it Chuck.

One thing you can say about conventions. We can be in the deepest despair and then when we see others, and can laugh at each other.... Oh hell, Chuck's ashtray is drifting over this way again. Gotta go find a kleenex....
