Thanks, Jim. He's been conspicuously absent since the convention, and I miss him.  :-/ I hope it's simply because he's busy...

OMG!, JHC!, and everything else!   :o :o :o :o

Holy shit, somebody give Carl D a record deal!

Carl D's music and songwriting on 'Former' is better than alot of the underground stuff out there.  The composition slays.  There is a need for this kind of dark psychotic beautiful music out there, right now.  The time is right.  It reminds me of mid-years Trouble, Corrosion of Conformity, Tool, and a touch of Nine Inch Nails (or Neurosis)... with a bloodthirsty vocal performance to boot and a punk attitude.

Poisonous stuff!

Carl, get a band together and shop this stuff to the labels.  I can envision your stuff with a higher budget production out on the shelves.  Shop it to the underground labels like Century Media, Nuclear Blast, Relapse, Olympic, etc.  I'm fuckin serious.

--- Steve

Does anyone have his phone #? Hell, I roomed with him. I should have it! [smiley=ohjez.gif] That is one cool little caring dude! I sure hope everything is ok. Like Pam said, he was worried about paying his electric bill, but the last he told me was that he had the money thanks to one or two people buying up all his CDs(which I never got one of, damnit). Anyone know how to get in touch with him- snail mail, carrier pidgeon?

Wow! Nice to see I was missed. I love you guys!!!
Glad you guys like my music. Right now I am working on trying to get the rest of my gear out of pawn, borrow some more equipment, and start recording my next demo - which should have better sound quality since I will be using my computer and not a 4 track cassette recorder. I am dying to start recording again, as I have a ton of new material to work with (since "Act of God" is basically defunct now.)
The only thing I bummed on this year was I didn't get to play for you guys at convention, since my guitar got destroyed. Cootie & Brad said they didn't even think about bringing one until they were halfway to Nashville, and nobody else thought to bring one either. Hopefully by DavCon '05 I will either have another guitar, or find one I can borrow for the weekend. I'm missing my Brazos bigtime. I'm so used to picking that thing up when I'm down. I learned a lesson though - I will NEVER loan out any of my gear again.
I think I am experiencing what Margi called "Post-Convention Blues." It's hard to be alone after being around so many wonderful people. It was funny. When I went over to my brothers house after convention my sis in law said, "How was it?" I replied mundanely, "Eh, it was okay." She laughed "Bullshit - tell me all about it." And I told her, it will take days to remember everything. I started telling her about the events, the wedding, the patio, the bar - and all of the awesome people. I am still blown away by it all. I miss you guys terribly. Looking forward to DavCon '05 with a passion.

Peace & Love,
Carl D

*P.S. - Alley, PM me your snail-addy and I will slip a couple of CD's in the mail for you.

I was so pissed I forgot to dig thru the closet and drag out onea them old guitars even if it did need tuneing or a new string. Yeah ya prolly feel like sumthin is missin after a convention unless yer around alot of people with that much bonding goin on feeling. Luckily we kinda are so we can fill that void somewhat.....but....it's still NOT THE SAME. So close yet so far away Pam

Yeah......we got to listen to some of the cd's on the way home Carl.......cool.

modify'd cuz I spelled TUNEING wrong !!
