Title: Classic Rock Questions, Dave Post by ClusterChuck on Jul 14th, 2004, 8:26am OK, Dave, you might be the one to answer a question I have about a song. I have been trying for YEARS to find the name of this song, and who did it. It came out in the mid to late sixties. It was a bit of a protest song, or anti-establishment song. The only part I can remember in it is the part about "ticky tac houses ..." [smiley=jammin.gif] "There's a red one, and a green one, and a blue one, and a yellow one, and they're all made out of ticky tac, and they all look just the same ..." Any one help me out here? (I know, most of you think I am BEYOND help ... Maybe I am?) Chuck |

Title: Re: Classic Rock Questions, Dave Post by Georgia on Jul 14th, 2004, 9:45am I would have guessed Pete Seeger. He's the only one I've heard do it. Classic Folk music yes. Rock it ain't. ...I still sing it as I drive thru the suburbs...or page thru high school yearbooks....tow the party line. Anti conformity...beatniks...hippies...bikers...fresh air I find most Clusterheads develop unique personalities too....forged in a different fire....shaped by the blacksmith of pain. Makes for a great gathering. Have a great time at Painstock 2004! Wage Peace den |
