Hey, all, Ken just called to let me know he was being taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ.

Let's hope that they can figure out what is going on with him, and get him back on his feet...and PF...

Vibes on their way, Ken.....and Jody, there's a gang waiting to know how they can help you!

Why good samaritan? Was it his choice?
Just for cluster's? Or other things too?
The Mayo Clinic is right down the street.....
And I'm pretty sure their guy could get him fixed up.

Hey, gang, still holding for more info, but I will elaborate. This is NOT just CH.
Dave E and Carl, please note..Ken is having trouble staying on his feet..he simply crumples at times...and he has injured himself repeatedy in these falls......sound somewhat familiar?
Ken thinks it is this disc damage, he could be right.
Hopefully, the CH will be under control and these mishaps will end.
He has a lot of smarts, and soooo much to offer....I will keep you posted.....

Yeah Cathi, I can relate to at least the falling over part, although I’ve had back MRI’s and an x-ray that seem to rule this out. Do have a couple vertebrae that are slightly touching my spinal cord, but they don’t think that’s the problem. I know I have a lot of muscle atrophy from all the seizures and time in the wheelchair, but even with Physical Therapy, they’re still very weak. Probably won’t know what ever brought all this on now that my “doctor” has screwed me up worse with the Prednisone dosage and taper. The new doctors I’m seeing think the Pred made have suppressed my immune system. Will have a better idea on the 21st.
There are many “specialized” hospitals in the Phoenix area. Doctor wanted to send me to the Mayo, but was impossible to afford. My father was at Kindero Hospital for 21 days and got a bill of $128,000! Then on to the Neurological Center, don’t know that bill, but do know it was just as expensive.
Hopefully the Good Samaritan Hospital will be more kind to Ken!
