OH GAAWD! [smiley=crackup.gif] ROFLMAO!!! {wiping a tear} What was the question again? [smiley=crackup.gif] Oh, yeah, uh hem, From the websites that come up in a Google search, it appears this is pretty much a UK/European drug. Clotam Rapid is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflamatory drug used in the treatment of Migraine. It falls in the same class of drugs as diclofenac, ibuprofen, naproxen and flurbiprofen. Onset of Action: Response to the medication is expected within 1 - 2 hours of taking the medication. If not another may be taken after 2 hours. Take no more than 2 in a 24 hour period. Side Effects are listed as: Dysuria (difficulty or pain when passing urine), tremor, euphoria, fatigue; gastrointestinal side effects such as discomfort, nausea (sickness), diarrhoea, occasionally bleeding and ulceration; hypersensitivity reactions, headache, dizziness, nervousness, depression, drowsiness, insomnia (inability to sleep), vertigo, hearing disturbances, photosensitivity (sensitivity to light), and haematuria (blood in the urine) This drug is purported to be the equivelant of Sumitriptan tablets in limited clinical trials. More study is necessary. Maybe it's so effective because your pecker on fire makes you forget about your migraine? Definitely worthless as an abortive for CH. That being said...you do have ch, right? Tell us a little about your symptoms, ie where on your head they hit, how long they last, severity of pain, how many a day do you get, what you do when they hit (lie down in the dark or pace/dance about, etc) Gator |

Title: Re: stingy wee Post by pubgirl on Jul 13th, 2004, 2:31pm Yup Gator That's what I mean about a crap doctor NSAIDS for CH = nads (that's Brit for bollocks by the way, it's short for gonads) Wendy |
||||
Title: Re: stingy wee Post by Gator on Jul 13th, 2004, 2:54pm I agree Wendy. Time to find another doc. This one ain't treating CH - assuming gaz_b has CH. Dude's already got a pain in one head. Doesn't really need another pain in the other one. Gator |
