What kind of week was it? Well, after the water softener crapped last month followed by the washing machine, I figgured it couldn't get much worse.

But fate does have a perverse sense of humor. Last Wednesday, during a really nasty thunderstorm, our airconditioner got fried. "No big deal." you say. Try surviving summer in south Florida without A/C. It also took out the main breaker which required an electrician's services ($166.85). We did get the A/C guy out the same day and he verified the unit was shot and read us the options, none of which were pretty. So we ended up replaccing the errant unit with a Trane ($2326.70). But it's only money and I thought we'd be all set once we got over that bump but come Friday, Judy, probably aggravaited by the heat, could not catch her breath. So it was off to the ER (daughter took her, I had to wait for the A/C guy), diagnosis; pneumonia.
So it now looks like she will not be able to make it to Nashcon and she was so looking forward to it. I'm still coming (she insists) and may bring my daughter or son if she is not up to the trip. Sheesh.

Bad shit comes in three's normally so you should be done for quite some time now !!! Maybe the antibiotics will kick in fast and the wife will feel good enuff to make the convention.....that can happen you know. Been there seen that and went thru it. GOOD LUCK to you from now on......maybe you'll win the lottery to make up for it ?

Well damn Kip! I hope Judy is feelin better soon hun. Send her my best wishes. Glad U got the A/C back! WHEW thank goodness!! Cant do with out A/C in any southern state!! Keep us posted on how Judy is doing please.

Kip - I think it was a conspirancy, as my life was fubared for the past 2-3 weeks as wekk. But it is starting to look like it is headed in the right direction................ Finlly.

She's got a habit of quitting breathing ;) Be sure to tell her that she CAN'T have a headache with it.....(sorry had to throw that one in).

Give Judy a big hug for me and tell her to get well quick. Also that I'm gonna talk about her at convention. ;)

My house pulled that "replace several big ticket items all at once without warning BS" too one time. With no air in summer you make fast decisions ;;D And with no water and washing too, tips from the Flintstones don't work that well.

Aww damn, Kip! I'm really sorry to hear about all this!! I hope that Judy is back to feeling better soon!! I'm sure the humid Florida air without a/c probably didn't help things for her!

On the plus side of this, hopefully you will look back some time from now and laugh at how rediculous life is when it all hits the fan at once! Last October I had one week where I got a kidney infection, missed a day of work without pay, got into a car accident, got a speeding ticket, and something else all at once. Now when I look back, I kind of laugh that all that happened to one person at one time!

Kip, JUDY HAS TO COME TO NASHVILLE!!!!! I will never forget her coming over to the room while you were asleep that nite in FLorida...She had me laughing my butt off that nite.....She is one spunky Lady....I really wanted to get to see her....Tell her to get well Fast and pack her bags...She will have a nurse there to take care of her. smiles, nancyc

Hey Kip,
Looks like you got a run of upside down luck. I hope your wife Judy gets better real quick, and maybe she'll be able to go with you to Nashville. :) And I can vouch for the Trane A/C. We replaced our entire heating and cooling system about a year and a half ago. We got a Trane, and it works like a dream. Gotta have A/C in the summer time.
