Title: Imitrex Injections on the plane?
Post by suzy617 on Jul 8th, 2004, 8:10pm
Anyone know if your allowed to carry your injections on board or do they have to be in your suitcase? Ive been getting hit the past few weeks and need my stuff with me.  Usually only get hit in sept and oct but this bastard has been taunting me anytime it wants to now.   :P

I have never had a problem bringing my injections on board with my carry on.

As long as it is labeled they shouldn't give you a problem.

Well the syringes are not labeled since I use the vials but I guess maybe if I bring the empty vial and rx with me, it might be ok?

Suzy,

I have done it numerous times with no probs.

I use Stat-Dose though.

I carry mine as a carry on in my "diddie bag",
what I call my drug bag.

Make sure your script is with meds.   ;)

I've never even been questioned even after an open bag hand search.

Just have your Rx with you in case they ask.

Suze....I carried the vials all the time, and they've taken my scotch, but never even looked at all the syringes and vials, and they just plowed right through them....never even blinked at the amount I had.

One word of advice...put one syring in your purse.  Coming home from the convention last year, I had it all in my carry on, and got hit during take off.  Doesn't matter what you say....they will not let you stand up to get a bag from the overhead for about 20 minutes.  The poor girl sitting next to me will never be the same.

Thanks for the info Roxy.  Why'd they take your scotch though? :(

In my carryon I pack one vial and two syringes.  Never a word about it.

I suppose the same rule follows for the loaded syringes.....

...which you WILL be carrying with you Suzy... right??
Please say yes.  I'm padded enough (if necessary), but hopefully you won't be needing to bang on anything while we fly.  If you need to though, I can take it  ;;D
