We only have about a 300 mile drive to Nashville which I know is nothing compared to what some people will be doing. I was wondering what kind of distances everyone else will be traveling to get to the convention.

Driving Est. Time: 11 hours, 36 minutes

Flying Time is about 3hrs and 10min. not including the layover in Memphis which is for 1hr and 20min.

Total Est. Distance: 745.12 miles

Either way, I am glad I'm flying (sort of) because I don't think I could handle watching out for all the wacky stupid drivers on the road who are talkin on the phone, applying eye drops (yes, a lady actually was doing that while driving), and changing clothes for about 13 (13 if you figure in bathroom breaks and a nap) hours...hehehe ;)

yet........if I choose yahoo maps it's

Distance: 574.7 miles
Approximate Travel Time: 8 hours 50 mins

Billy and I will be driving to nashville this will be our second time ,we drove down 8 years ago.map quest says ~~~Total Est. Time: 13 hours, 0 minutes Total Est. Distance: 801.37 miles ~~~we'll be stopping here and there for my back so that'll take time.Billy's driving :o :-X most of the way so if he can get running with the truckers we should make it in about 8 hrs [smiley=gocrazy.gif]

Let's see........ 435 miles in 7 hours and 17 minutes. Map Quest figures on a 60 mph average. I'll get there in just over 6 hours.....

drivein from upper mid Ohio.........7 1/2 hours.......477.68 miles. Maybe leavein earlier now on Wed. to take our time and stop over somewhere cool on the way.....then get there bit earlier Thursday and be able to visit with my dad and step mom that same day and not be so tired . We'll be doin lot of runnin back and forth tryin to see them and do convention stuff and hang out with ya'll. Hey minni so GLAD you and BillyJ are gona make it......."cool".....maybe we should make designated 'bad back' stops......ha-ha ! I know we'll be makein quite a few.....hell I have to make them now just walkin thru the house.....har-har !

If I can keep the OUCHmobile in the road, I figure to arrive in about 22 hrs...1300 miles...If I am late arriving just start without me, I catch up fast...I promise no makeup, no reading, and the only person my cell phone seems to call unassisted is Elaine...I stop for everyone else...Oh, and, Elaine, I have changed the tape...so expect some new sounds...hehehe

I don't really trust myself in the cockpit so I leave the flying to US Aiways or something.

Jamestown to Nashville is 576 miles (926 km).
I don't know what it would be on the road.
