I just finished a KIP8-9 with NO preventative available. Due to my heart, triptans are out. Due to lack of money, O₂ is temporarily out.

I even got so pissed, I screamed out to two of my cluster buddies in frustration. (at 0430 in the MORNING, even!) Thanks for putting up with me, Svenn and DonnaD! (But I don't know how good of friends they are ... Neither one would come over here and shoot me! DAMN!!!) (heehee)

I spend a LOT of time chatting (via MSN Messenger) and talking on the phone to MANY clusterbuddies. Too many to mention. I got to thinking what an AWESOME family we have here! Not only do they put up with the ranting and ravings of us lunatics, they do whatever they can to help a fellow clusterhead.

I can't tell you how many are going to Nashville, ONLY because of financial and other help from this family! Some of us know who our angels are. Some have NO IDEA who is doing this for them! Yet we are going! The more I think about this, the more overwhelmed I am!

Most of the people here I have NOT met in person, yet they are still helping me (and others) to get to Nashville! It has been said that everything that a person does is for greedy reasons. If that is so, we have some SUPER GREEDY people here! And I don't mean that in the "snake oil salesman" persona, either!

Several people I know of would NOT be going to Nashville if it were not for the WONDERFUL ANGELS on this site!

For all of us recipients, I say Thank you! from the bottom of my heart! You people are AWESOME!!!

And for getting this whole shebang started, and kept running, DJ, YOU are the BEST!

I gotta go, it seems the smoke, from my cigarettes, is getting into my eyes ... Gotta go dry them out.

People are wonderful here and they surely are ANGELS Chuck. Your one person thats a ANGEL also. In the time I have known you , you have been one of the best supporters to people here and turely a ANGEL to most of us. It does not surprise me that the Angels on ch.com have band together to help you and others.
I tell you that cigarette smoke does make our eys water ;-)

I've encountered a number of angels from this place, and I'll be meeting all but one of them in Nashville. I feel overwhelmed sometimes with the depth of compassion borne of common feathers worn by us DoDo Birds here.

I too have had the blessings of angels to speak to when the clouds have passed over their darkest. Two wonderful angels have kept me focused and occupied while getting slammed and didn't just leave me alone to ride the coaster. More have phoned me to check in on me, see how I'm doing among other gifts offered from the deep recesses of their hearts.

Nashville wouldn't have been but a dream for me without a number of you angels out there and you all know who you are!!!

I may be alone in my little corner here with this beast of burden raging in my head. But in the world....I have a family of like feather and when needed, we flock together to feather the nest.

I just want to echo your feelings on a personal note.

Back on April 17, if you will remember, you emailed out a notice about Elaine hosting a get-together at her house on May 22,23. At that time, although I had used this site quite a bit (i.e. I had been using the imitrex tip for a couple of years) and posted my email address, I had never posted on these boards or spoken to any of you.

Since Elaine lives so close to me, I emailed both you and her expressing my thanks for the invitation and asking for directions so that I might attend. As I'm sure you remember Chuck, due to an illness in her family, Elaine had to cancel. But she wrote me back anyway and asked if I would care to meet her for dinner. I accepted, and we had a truly wonderful meeting over dinner(see the May 23,2004 post, "I had dinner with a lurker today"). I'm sure everyone knows what I mean when I say that there was an immediate bonding that I just can't describe.

But Elaine took it so much farther than that. When she asked if I was going to Nashville, I briefly explained that as much as I'd like to, I probably wouldn't be able to for financial reasons. That wonderful lady not only offered to let me ride with her and Buddy, but she even offered to let me use Buddy's convention ticket. And then when she saw me hesitate over the price of the rooms, she said I was welcome to share a room with them! All this from someone that I had just met!

I have since told Elaine that I wouldn't be able to attend, but the more I think about it, the more I feel that I can't afford not to go. If that lady is any indication of the rest of this family, and I believe she is, then if I stay home I'm afraid I'll be doing something I'll regret for a long time!

I refused to even post on these boards for the longest time. Not only was I new to posting on these boards, but I had never posted on any boards. I had never even been in a chat room, except a couple of times just to listen. To say that I was intimidated is an understatement! When I finally did get the nerve up to post, everyone here made me feel welcome! I want to thank each and every one of you for that and sincerely hope that my warped sense of humor offends no one.

Since I have no idea what the future holds, I truly don't know if I'll see all of you in Nashville or not(if not in body- in spirit!). I would just like to say right here one more time from one of your new adoptees, "THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME FEEL AT HOME!!!"

Being my first convention and wanting to meet as many people from this board as possible, I thank everyone who has reached down and found a way to get there. Angels have been able to reach out and help to bring many more of each and everyone's cluster buddies to the BIG event. Thank you all who have helped someone to be there. :-*

Ramon and I would not be able to go either if it wasn't for ANGELS! I feel like an ass - because people are doing so much for us...

Family. That says it all. If I could take your pain so that you could lead the rest of your life pain-free, Chuck, I would do it in a heartbeat, without reservation, and with no regrets. And yeah, this is an awesome place, mostly because of the individuals that make it up.

Nice note and lot's of good vibes. Funny how that almost always transforms from a one-way thing to a full on torrent of bi-directional vibes.

however... wtf is this about not affording O2? That's simply inexcusable my friend. What do you need? Many of us here have everything you need and aren't in cycle. I could send you my regulator, and jonny can explain how to convert it for use with normal welding O2 tanks which are cheap to rent. One way or another Bro, it will happen. Of all the things to not afford (we got plenty of those) O2 isn't one of them.

PLEASE, family!!! I did not start this thread, looking for something from someone! Y'all have done enough, already! This thread was meant as a commentary on how AWESOME the family is, nothing more!

Thank you for the offers for O₂, but I have my own now. I held up a couple liquor stores, and one convienence store, so I got it paid for. I had a mask on, that made me look like Luke, so I am safe.

I know it ain't too smucken fart to run out of O₂, but then again I never claimed to be a fart smeller. Actually, by running out, you REALLY appreciate it when you get a fresh supply!

But then again, this just goes to show you how FANTASTIC this group of looney misfits are!
